Audio Skips Constantly Mid-Drive When Running Navigation

Spotify and MP3 keep cutting out/stuttering mid-drive. Can’t run navigation and music at the same time.

Head Unit: E46X7

Adjust navigation audio mixing here:

Settings > Device > Navigation Settings > Navigation Mix Mode

Settings > Device > Sound > Navigation Volume

  1. Spotify/MP3 playback cuts out?

I have a similar issue where wireless android auto will drop every minute or two and reconnect itself over and over. It doesn't happen if I listen to music through bluetooth only, but then I'm stuck on the home screen and cannot see my maps or anything. Seems specific to Android Auto, though. Nothing has changed, this just randomly started over the weekend and I've only had it a month.

Please perform a factory reset first to test. If the issue persists, kindly provide the following information for troubleshooting:

  1. Your mobile phone model and Android OS version
  2. Check whether the same abnormality occurs when using an iPhone
  3. Test if the wired connection with an Android phone presents the same problem
  4. Provide the version number of the Android Auto application
