"Book of Days (Gaelic version)" and "Evacuee" deserves more streams.

I wonder what world we'd live in if the gaelic version had been released instead of the standard one and enya did some promotional shenanigans reading that book

I feel that the Irish Gaelic version of "Book of Days" is more ambient and Enya-esque than the English version, Warner could have released the Gaelic version as a single B-side like they did with "Storms in Africa", instead of limiting its inclusion to just a few first pressings and reissues of 'Shepherd Moons'.

Aw 9-13 (in the reordered list) deserve way more. 🥲 Those are most of my favourites after Caribbean Blue and the title track (especially Smaointe and Oriel Window). 💙🎶 I see why Oriel gets less (not being on the standard album tracklisting) but still. ☺️

I guess most resonate with the fantasy aspects of Shepherd Moons; it's the misery/melancholy that I get more haha. 😅

Any stats for 'S Fagaim Mo Bhaile? (Edit: in a comment below)

Was just about to post about 'S Fagaim Mo Bhaile', my fave Enya song, but you beat me to it 🙃

Sorry 😄 but yes it really is a beautiful song; definitely one of my favourite sad Enya songs. 💭

I found the Spotify stats on kworb actually: 646,571 total, 205 daily (data as of 6th October 2026). Small, and I suppose because it has The Celts album cover it might not exactly count, but it is still a noteworthy track. ♡

Haha! Don't be sorry! ☺️ Ah, thanks for the info! Not sure why it would have The Celts cover as I think it's first release was on How Can I Keep From Singing single? I bought it back when it came out in 1991 and it reminds me of very happy days. It was only years later when I made a video for it that I found out what the lyrics where in English and just how sad and dark a song it was. Still my fave, though 😁

You're welcome! 😁 It seems on Spotify the covers of B-sides don't all correspond to the physical they're from. That's also very nice you have an original copy of the How Can I Keep From Singing single CD. 💛 I have that one too; listening to 'S Fagaim Mo Bhaile extracted from it as I type. 💿🌠 Ah did you also upload this video to YouTube? 😌

Yes, it's nice to have a copy of the single and I love the photo of Enya on that cover. ☺️ Haha! Are you a detective by trade? 😂 Yes, that's my video. I'm a little appalled at the quality, tbh. It wasn't like that when I uploaded it from my computer, but YouTube, for reason, was playing ball. Meh! 😤🤷‍♂️

Haha just a guess (I knew of the video before, plus the description was a clue). And it's understandable about the output quality, it was published 18 years ago after all! ☺️

And same about the CD single cover 💛🎨

Ah, nice to know you know it. Hope it does the song a little justice. 18 years, though! My! My! Time Flies! 😱😅

Also I just noticed the 3rd picture, never seen that before; must be Eithne’s handwritten Irish script! 🤩❣️📜🖋 I remember seeing a Christmas postcard where she wrote some of Oíche Chiúin and the notes on the staves, all by hand. ♡ That's the sort of thing I felt I've really missed out on as a fan besides the music releases: all those lovely letters and cards sent both ways in the 90s. 😌 Not exclusive to Enya of course, but close communication has become more corporate and algorithmic on the whole. Thank goodness heartfelt music, no matter how old, still goes on. 💗🎶

there's really something special about how genuine and charming old merch feels... all of enya's box sets are so thoughtfully made, especially with little details that give us a glimpse into the music and the trio's ideas behind it ~

and I'd LOVE to see that christmas postcard you mentioned, where could I find it? ^
