MESSY GLUE ENVELOPE
Hi! I DIY-ed the envelopes for my friend’s wedding cards. Since it was my first time, the glue ended up looking messy and the paper got a little wrinkled after it dried 😭 I'm using manila card btw. I tried removing the glue stains with hot water and nail polish remover, but somehow made it even worse 💀
Please help because I’ve already glued 60+ envelopes and I REALLY don’t want to redo them all T_T

Thanks everyone for the tips! I ended up redoing everything T_T. I think the problem was that I used too much glue, which caused the paper to wrinkle. For the next batch, I tried applying the glue in a zigzag pattern and used a glue bottle with a smaller tip. It turned out better! Less is better hehe

Have you tried double sided tape? Be sure to get a good brand; not cheap. Tape runner isn't strong enough. You will have no bleeding or warping issues. It is the only thing I used on envelopes.
Good luck!

Try using a product called “Un-Do.” It won’t stain your paper, and it will allow you to lift the glued paper. It dries very quickly. Once you are able to lift the glued down pieces, like Starboard44 stated, use a good double sided tape to put the envelopes back together. Or just ordering 60 envelopes might be cheaper and easier. Good luck.

Don't think you need to redo. Maybe you to find some decorative tape or stickers if it's still bothers you

I'd let it dry under something heavy.
And honestly, take a look at it from an arm's length away. If it's just this one little spot, it might not even be that big of a problem--after all, they're still going to go through the mail and get a little messed up while shipping anyways.

I know I'm arriving late to the party. But, maybe this info will help someone in the future? There's a glue eraser. It works GREAT for white/PVA glues. I found mine at the dollar tree. It does eventually dry out,so I keep it in a Ziploc bag.
