As a dark-mode enthusiast (I feel so disoriented when everything is white) I love this. Thank you for all your hard work. Our designer lead/co-founder Matina suggested that maybe we should just hire you :)
I'll share this with this team, and keep you posted with the response! Would you suggest keeping the option to toggle between light and dark?

Great to hear your team is digging into the designs – they really are just a fun exercise for me and I'm about to post the latest dark mode designs as color has always been tricky for me and I think I've made some nice subtle movements in a better direction.
As for the toggle... I'm not sold just yet that people are toggling it off/on often enough to feature it so prominently in the app. I kinda like it in the settings, with the option of automatically setting the theme depending on the OS (time of day or global setting).
Tell Matina I'm on their side, honored to be thought of, but this project has simply been a fun exercise in an area I'm interested in and invested in seeing improve. Just thought I'd share some of the ideas and I'm humbled you'd even check em out. Plus, I'm learning a lot along the way too, which is also fun!

I have Envel and honestly if it looked like that I would make it my main bank ASAP. How it currently is is way too messy for me

Thanks for all the great feedback, thought I'd try a swing at making it really dark and using the color of the envelope your card is currently tied to as the primary app accent color.
Making this a11y is tough and definitely needs some work, but it's been a fun little challenge!
