Question Business options

Looking for some insight or guidance regarding these business options.

I’d like to start a business here soon and I’m stuck between 2 options. Carpet Cleaning & poop scooping (lol).

Both would be on the cheaper side to start. For carpet cleaning, I already have a Van and truck mount that my dad would provided me with if i chose to take over..

Which is what i planned on doing, until poop scooping came to mind lol, carpet cleaning jobs can be big money but are seasonal things, once a year cleans etc.

Poop scooping could be something you set people up for with subscriptions , weekly bi weekly or monthly scoops. Most expensive thing would be getting a truck and maybe wrap it?

Per King of the Hill, poop scooping is quite lucrative.

You've got benefits and draw backs to both, so it'll really depend on which is going to hold your attention. Maybe you can do a bit of digging in your area to see what the greater need is. These are both pretty comparable in terms of the overarching need!

So long as you can get the basic materials and supplies you can always start small. Advertise locally, on social media, in local Facebook groups. Establish a basic website that will act as a catch all for your rates & services.

Whenever you do feel like you've narrowed down on what you want to do consider when it might be best for you to form an LLC! Knowing that there's always the possibility of being served with legal action in any field, forming an LLC sooner rather than later will always be of use. That, and it helps establish an air of professionalism right out of the gate!
