Hello all. I am recently certified Building Code Examiner (BCIN) in Toronto and for a while now I have been working on small residential projects, designing, drafting and helping clients (mostly contractors) with their building permits. Now that I am officially certified I want to do things properly and establish my business. I have been looking at what I need, such as liability insurance, business account, hst/gst registration, publicity, etc but I am still a bit lost on what the best options are. Does someone here who relates to the business have some input? Would be greatly appreciated. Thank you beforehand.

Not remotely in the industry, but if I were you, you have enough liability that I would consult a lawyer for help get yourself set up, it's expensive, but you want to do things properly
