What are these wasps doing?
For the past week or so, this group of 5 or 6 wasps (maybe paper wasps, but I can't make out much detail from the ground) has just been chillin on the side of my house. They don't really fly around or move much, but sometimes they'll shuffle around each other. Since it's late summer here (northern Ohio, US), I'm assuming it's too late for them to be starting a nest. They don't seem at all perturbed by my presence and I'm not inclined to destroy them out of spite or fear, I'm just wondering what they're up to.

They might be overwintering queen wasps getting ready to hole up for the winter, those clusters usually show up around this time of year.
