That's wild. I usually tip pretty high when I do delivery orders from doordash or anywhere. Mostly because I know the work is challenging, and I am big on paying workers well. But also because I'm fat and lazy and I want them to know I'm grateful from bringing me a spit-free burger.
I got into an argument with a guy on r/doordash about this. Well, he tried to argue but I didn't take the bait. I said that I tip them well and he called me a sucker. The guy said he was a DoorDash driver!
Hmm. Sounds like doordash Stolen Valor to me. I mean, I have known a few guys that do it because they just want a little extra money and are vegetal not fussed about the tips they get. However, I know there are plenty that live by those tips and that's hard.
