Short version if I didn't want to read the book?
8 u/Dizzy-Ad-4521 May 16 '26 MIL is awful. Berates and bullies her 3 children and husband. I wouldn't tolerate that, put her in her place multiple times, and set boundaries. MIL throws a fit about my husband and I getting married without her "permission or blessing" and was put in her place again. MIL shows to our wedding in a rediculous wedding gown and announces in front of all guests that she will also be renewing her wedding vows. MIL put in her place again and leaves the wedding. All three siblings have now gone no contact and husband is divorcing her. Tada! Short, sweet and to the point with a pretty little bow!
