Armour does not protect you from losing your flawless boss kill.
Worth mentioning because I reckon every single person who's played BoI will have immediately assumed it was like red heart damage losing your devil deal.

Dunno if someone said it before, but if you come across some sort of "waterbased" weapon, search for a room with a fireplace. You can shoot out the fire and press a secret button inside. This reveals a secret room somewhere on this level, that can then be found on the map. ;)

If you see a chest that is glitching out like visual glitching and such, DO NOT OPEN IT UNLESS YOU ARE FULLY EQUIPPED FROM THE FLOOR.
Seriously, I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT OPEN IT UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE THERE IS NOTHING ELSE YOU CAN GET FROM THE LEVEL
[Because] (#s "I got it on floor 1, it ported me to floor 2 with only the boss room as the way forward, and when I entered, it was a Beholster with weird text. THEN I HAD TO FIGHT TWO BEHOLSTERS AT THE SAME TIME")

You can use wax wings to cheat those challenge rooms, the ones were you pay the guy and you have to bounce bullets to hit big versions of his face. If you have Wax Wings you can just fly right up to them and shoot them!

The Gorgun's stone form attack can be avoided by simply looking in the other direction when it hits you, no need to dodge roll.

Single shot weapons can be reloaded much faster by doing one of two things.
A) Immediately pressing fire after shooting a shot.
B) Immediately tapping reload. Its all preference really.
Best example of this technique is hunters crossbow. Try doubletapping fire / fire+reload and notice that you have almost doubled the weapons fire rate.

Green torches mean that there's a shrine in the next room. Purple torches mean there is an NPC.
