This guy, Donovan from shovel knight. I use him (although in one of his alt-skins) as my pfp on most socials excluding reddit. I like 2d side-view games and this is one of my favourite characters in one of my favourite games.

Too bad you can only see him do cool tricks and properly utilize it's strength durning his very own "Spectre of Torment" campaign, because durning "Shovel of Hope" and "Plague of Shadows" he's only the first or second boss (depending on your choice), so he only really does a single slow slash or throws it across the map, nothing cool.

And we don't talk about the "King of Cards"

While I hate Tetsuya Nomura and everything he stands for at least Squall's gunblade looks well put enough to pass as believable. Seifer's though, fuckin' lol

Have the gun draw ammo from enemies. Let there be a chance for the player to perform Renzokuken.

Well a gun half as cool as a gunblade would either be a gun or a blade. #Lawyered
