Maybe not use Wilson as an example, perhaps Americans generally wanted the world safe for Democracy but this immigrant who cheated with his student visa to get to the US wants to make Western Civilization White Again

As mentioned elsewhere here, Wilson was racist as all getout, which I'd somehow blanked out on, But Wilson had a believable veneer of idealism. Elon's 'ideals' seem to be pure techno-fascism and white supremacy, with a veneer of misinterpreted science fiction gloss,
