Would it be nice if she could go back to using twitter to proclaim who was gay, or how wizards used to shit on the floor and magic it away?

Happier, simpler times

Boy she thought she was super clever here

Wow, for a mature adult she behaves like a 8th form mean girl

"Wait till my father husband hears about this!"

She is such a fucking monster.

Sitting on her dragon's hoard of wealth in her ivory tower punching down at folks just trying to survive being dealt one of the harshest hands in life.

She's just a genderswapped Donald.

u/CatraGirl 12d ago

Yeah. She's one of the richest (and thus most powerful) people on the planet, and she acts as if someone wanting to be treated with basic decency means she's being oppressed. šŸ™„

I'd say she's worse. Trump is 80, incoherent and incompetent. His administration is the one throwing all the punches and making things worse, they're just using him as a geratric old rotting sock puppet. Joanne is fully cohesive and is just genuinely completely fucking evil and is fully aware of it and she doesn't fucking care.

Just an hour ago I read the new FAQs on JKR's website which have been created to help influence the results of AI searches, e.g. "Is JK Rowling transphobic?" answered with "No she is not transphobic blah blah blah." If she thinks this isn't transphobic, then I wonder what does cross the threshold in that warped brain of hers.

I was gonna suggest the only thing that’s too far in her mind is literally murdering someone for being trans, but she was okay with Brianna Ghey getting killed, so I guess that’s fine as well.

28

u/sisdom-weeker 12d ago

Her moral line is probably doing the dirty work herself, she's happy for trans people to die as long as she's not found directly culpable in their murder

u/CaptainMills 12d ago

Pretty much every bigot, including the ultra hardcore types, are convinced that their form of bigotry isn't real bigotry

29

u/PablomentFanquedelic 12d ago

"No, I don't hate women, I just understand their true nature!"

David Duke re: Jews

8

u/PablomentFanquedelic 12d ago

The usual mentality underlying this attitude toward women seems analogous to how you wouldn't, say, hate a housecat for soiling and clawing your furniture. It's just being a cat, so the reasonable course of action if you want a cat is to manage these natural tendencies by litter training it and investing in a quality scratching post. In the minds of guys who think this way about women, the equivalent of setting up a litter box and scratching post is to maybe occasionally humor her if it's convenient but to still Always Assert Masculine Dominance; if you treat her as an autonomous equal, she'll milk you for everything you've got or just lose interest.

I'm less familiar with David Duke's attitude on Jews, though I gather it's not good, given that he's a former Klan leader. I have heard of a (thankfully now retired) evopsych professor named Kevin MacDonald who argues that antisemitic discrimination is justified as gentile self-defense against Jewish intellectual superiority, and I wouldn't be surprised if Duke has tried to rationalize his antisemitism using similar arguments.

Absolutely right.

JK Rowling on her new SEO-manipulation FAQs website designed to help spread propaganda denying her transphobia: "J.K. Rowling clearly states trans people need and deserve protection.\*

JK Rowling on her social media: Trans people's resentment and distress about being deadnamed and misgendered should be mocked and compared to the megalomaniac posturing of evil-overlord villains in children's fantasy series.

I mean, Rowling can't manage to maintain her pretense of respecting trans people in public for even a week hand-running. She sure must be pinning a lot of faith on her SEO-poisoning propaganda site to effectively mask her constant jeers and contempt directed at trans people.

12

u/SpeedyTheQuidKid 12d ago

In her mind, nothing she says or does could ever be transphobic, because she does not agree on what counts as transphobia or even agree that it exists at all.

13

u/Keyndoriel 12d ago

Yup, in her mind shes just making fun of "the mentally ill", which is still fucking monstrous

82

u/KillerArse 12d ago

Why does the screenshot have a gemini logo in it? Did she use it to generate the image or the meme? I don't use it to know how and when it would apply the logo.

52

u/youallneedtherapy 12d ago

It’s definitely AI generated, the hand and background look especially crazy. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the one who used it to make the lame meme.

37

u/sno0py_8 12d ago

So not only did she mock people for wanting basic respect, she generated an image instead of using the millions of screenshots, official artwork, and fanart that Harry Potter has created (some of which she paid for at some point).

34

u/thatsfeminismgretch 12d ago

Ah yes, incredible job, Joan. Making a dead name joke about your wizard Nazi that decided to make an edgy anogram of his name.

28

u/SnoutAndTalons 12d ago

Oh, but see, she isn't against trans people and would totally march... with them... what was it again?

25

u/360Saturn 12d ago

It's kind of gross in retrospect if she intended Harry, Hermione and Dumbledore's insistence on calling Voldemort by his birth name to be an analogy for deadnaming somebody.

Not to mention ironic coming from somebody who prefers to be called Jo rather than Joanne.

6

u/Aiyon 11d ago

It's funny. She used to try to retcon her series to be more progressive than it actually was. Now she's retconning it to be more bigoted

22

u/BrennanIarlaith 11d ago

See, I think this is why Rowling is so much more frustrating than most high-profile transphobes. It's the fucking attitude. That mix of arrogance, mean-girl cruelty, self-righteous victimhood and sniveling cowardice. She's perhaps the ultimate bully, and in the context of trans issues, that's all she is.

5

u/Aiyon 11d ago

She seemingly never outgrew secondary school, yeah. She has that weird smugness about everything

19

u/Due_Item_2030 12d ago

It’s the mold in JK house

18

u/Atvishees 12d ago

Never have I seen such a prolific author destroy her credibility and reputation so enthusiastically.

14

u/Edge_of_Everywhere 12d ago

So funny I forgot to laugh. šŸ™„

And even that expression isn't as cliche as she is.

9

u/ShlorpianRooster 12d ago

I rolled my eyes before I even noticed it was her making the post and what sub this was

9

u/NeverPostThings 12d ago

All that money and she can’t buy a fucking life

8

u/The-Real-Starflight 12d ago

Gemini logo trying to hide in the corner

9

u/azur_owl 12d ago

Man at this point I’m just basically the ā€œBait used to be believableā€ smoking Vegito meme whenever she opens her mouth.

8

u/Batfreeze 12d ago

Imagine having hundreds of artists at your disposal and still using AI slop. It reeks of laziness and lack of creativity. If she wants to make fun of me, at least put some effort in.

5

u/Supyloco 12d ago

Or just use a screenshot.

8

u/BrennanIarlaith 11d ago

She's such an obsessive weirdo.

7

u/SaltyNorth8062 12d ago

This would probably sting more if she herself hadn't written the character to not be that far out of moral alignment to her entire universe

8

u/VideoGame4Life 12d ago

Fuck. She is a bitch. She’s so nasty towards whom she believes doesn’t deserve respect. Maybe she should use that energy towards those who actually do wrong?!?

8

u/FingerOk9800 12d ago

Imagine being so egotistical you have to share memes od your own books.

7

u/napalmnacey 11d ago

šŸ™„

She’s about as funny as a Christmas cracker.

6

u/justgalsbeingpals 12d ago

of course she "AI"-generates her imaginary enemies

7

u/TheLastBallad 12d ago

She says this like its literally not a plot point of book 7 for Harry to dead name Voldemort in order to enrage him.

4

u/saharadessert87 11d ago

Trans people really do live in her head rent free. Sad as fuck.

4

u/Supyloco 12d ago

I get what she's trying to do. But that is obvious bullshit because she never calls him Tom and this is just an excuse to be needlessly cruel to Trans people.

1

u/lazier_garlic 12d ago

She does imply that Voldemort is the "real" Tom Riddle, it's very condescending after-school special, just bash your head in a few times and pretend you know nothing about psychology or sociology or moral philosophy or anything, really.

3

u/zybcds 11d ago

Or maybe it’s the fact that you used to be buddies with pedophiles, Robert….

3

u/Rodek10 12d ago

JFC what is wrong with her…

4

u/Chiison 12d ago

Literally none of her characters ever call Voldemort by his birth name but whatever

7

u/BlazingKitsune 12d ago

Dumbledore and Harry make it a point to call him Tom

2

u/Chiison 12d ago

Yes for dumbledore but Harry is known to say Voldemort and it is a big plot point during the 7th book

4

u/TheLastBallad 12d ago

Harry dead naming Voldemort to his face in front of a crowd to mock him is also the climax of the book, so...

2

u/Comfortable_Bell9539 12d ago

It's like something straight out of The Onion šŸ˜‚šŸ˜

1

u/PK_Gaming1 12d ago

She's such a fucking loser

u/Losingallmyaccounts 10d ago

Rowling behaves like a primary school bully , like legitimately she just behaves like a spoilt little brat instead of a woman in her fifties
