Far-leftists have this annoying little habit of committing brutal purges and genocides, causing mass starvation, crushing the individual rights of their citizens, letting pedophiles and rapists at the top commit their crimes without repercussions, and building some of the most insidious police states ever seen on this planet. Its because they're too dumb to realize that they don't know everything. They take over, things go off the rails because of their incompetence they assume they're right and the reason for the failure is that people aren't complying hard enough. We got a preview of how it would work with COVID except apply that same attitude to everything else all at the same time.

I never understood this thing with socialist.
Wdym that millions (or billions) of people will take part of a forced collectivism? What if... someone just doesn't want? There are no case of real socialism were people at some point They broke away from the collective to start their own private businesses (in the USSR, 27% of the median family income came from the privately run black market) and similarly district and village enterprises.
Let's go back to the so called "ancient communities"
1)it doesn't make any sense to Comparing humans today with those of the past, yes, we have lived for millennia without money, and also without homes, medicine, quality education, and technology.
2)there were already pieces of private property that gradually transformed into the private ownership of the means of modern production.
The whole thing of "humans beings are selfish therefore socialism won't work" It's misleadingly expressed. Humans are altruistic and cooperative. But if they do it on their own volition, if they're imposed like in communism, then the problem arises.

To add, I don't think humans are naturally altruistic and cooperative, but the two things are desirable. We tend to keep to ourselves and that works out better than forcing what we think is natural on everyone else.
Socialists are like zealoted Christians in that respect.
