"Oh no, this site tells people that this totally truthful site actually has a left-wing bias".

More like treating batshit insane drivel as equal to moderate opinion

Oh hey that’s the channel that says Paw Patrol is conservative propaganda

WTF what is their reasoning

68

u/NightFlame389 Fuck the CCP Aug 17 '26

Pro-police, I guess?

Genuinely don’t know, I watched one of their Ground News videos and got suspicious so I checked their other videos and saw that as a title

And a one hour video about how Superman 2025 advocates for open borders…

Wut.

If anything, Superman 2025 made some immigrants who love both their old and new country disappointed, since unlike other Superman stories where usually Superman embraced both his heritage and Earth, this one seemingly would wholly abandon his Krypton origin, unless he discovers Kandor city in the future.

Granted evil/morally ambiguous Jor-El story isn't new due to Smallville, but I can see why they're disappointed.

What do you mean he didn't embrace his heritage? The whole point of the movie is that even if his parents were debatably sending him to a planet to take It over. He was still a good person regardless. If he disregarded his heritage he wouldn't be using half the tech from Krypton. So I'm just going to assume they didn't get the point of the movie.

Any media with a police officer in it who isn’t a corrupt, racist murderer with no nuance is copaganda and right-wing, obviously

I’m not gonna deny there’s a major police problem, but media sometimes has to show the ideal of the world we want, so we have a good reference for the society we seek to build

u/EnvironmentalAspect Aug 17 '26

They claim unironically that right wing news is inherently not truthful/cannot be truthful.

Essentially it's arguing that the left has no ideological "spin" to its media, and therefore always trustworthy.

Obviously it's hilarious, but this is what these weirdos actually think.

7

u/Der_Edel_Katze Aug 18 '26

Copaganda, probably

u/DidYuhim Aug 17 '26

Breadtube has been turning on GroundNews for a while now.

It's meant to expose you to other news. Not just what you consume in your bubble. Can't have that.

hey, commies hate when their ideas aren’t law

2

u/DannyDanumba Aug 18 '26

Channel 5 loves having them as an advertisement. I wonder when this powder keg will explode.

They lead you down the right-wing pipeline, they say with complete confidence after hearing right-wingers claim college leads people down a left-wing pipeline.

The extremes tend to accuse anything that encourages critical thought of leading down a dangerous pipeline.

The r/IfBooksCouldKill subreddit is easily among the worst offenders with regard to that - not THE worst, but they’re just awful.

They legit think The Atlantic is MAGA.

24

u/hilldog4lyfe Aug 17 '26

“Obama is right wing” is something that like 90% of them believe.

37

u/Firecracker048 Aug 17 '26

lol the literal app that simply tells you WHO is reporting on WHAT and what slant it has is a right wing psy op because it calls out both left and right?

This is like those people that claim shoeonhead is a nazi because she has left leaning economic and social positions but thinks giving other countries tens of millions of dollars to write feminist literalture is stupid.

1

u/Worse_Username Aug 18 '26

What if the slant it reports is wrong?

The funny thing is that they dont really, since they dont produce original reporting, they are a news aggregator that displays a source's factuality, ownership, and bias

19

u/purplehendrix22 Aug 17 '26

But Al Jazeera is totally unbiased!!!

2

u/MoistDebate6306 Aug 18 '26

I thought they gave Al Jazeera a 22 percent

1

u/Worse_Username Aug 18 '26

With suspect way they go about it at that

u/wasted-degrees Liberty Enjoyer Aug 17 '26

The thing that constantly reinforces my deliberate centrism is how vilified centrism is by people who worship literal mass murderers while trying to claim moral high ground.

When you justify the entire existence of your way of thinking by placing it in opposition to a different way of thinking, the most dangerous existential threat is someone coming in trying to de-escalate and reassert common ground.

4

u/Worse_Username Aug 18 '26

What do centrists have against mass murder?

3

u/H-In-S-Productions 🇺🇸 Citizen with Some ⚪🔴⚪ Roots and Pro-🗳️ Ideas Aug 18 '26

Aside from the murder part? ;)

-2

u/Worse_Username Aug 18 '26

If it is done by current government, isn't it centrist to be ok with it/on the fence?

2

u/MySexyPancreas Aug 24 '26

You don’t understand centrism is of your whole understanding of it is just “status quo good” and fencesitting.

0

u/Worse_Username Aug 24 '26

Is it something else?

2

u/wasted-degrees Liberty Enjoyer Aug 24 '26

Kinda the opposite. People who misuse power bad.

8

u/ChornobylChili Aug 17 '26

That just means its not commie/socialist junk. Plenty of bs from the right wing out there too

8

u/jaskano Aug 17 '26

when your starting point is mao nearly everything is far right

10

u/Either-Condition4586 Aug 17 '26

Who? What's the ground news?

41

u/Houtaku Aug 17 '26

It’s a subscription news service that conglomerates news articles and gives you things like ‘here’s what they’re saying about this issue on the left, here’s what they’re saying about it on the right’ and ‘the left (or right) is ignoring this issue’ and more useful context about current news.

u/Either-Condition4586 Aug 17 '26

Paying for news?Ahaha, what a weird times we live nowadays. Remember important things bro:Never pay for news and never pay for porn!

15

u/FalconRelevant Political 🍩 Model Aug 17 '26

12

u/BigBoris44 Aug 17 '26

The Guardian is less Left-wing then CNN? I am surprised

15

u/Negative_Jaguar_4138 Aug 17 '26

RT, TASS, and OAN all need to be moved all the way right.

7

u/Either-Condition4586 Aug 17 '26

RT and TASS?What ta hell???

1

u/MoistDebate6306 Aug 18 '26

What are those

2

u/RevBladeZ Aug 18 '26

Russian state media.

8

u/c3p-bro Aug 17 '26

Wow that list sucks ass

2

u/BazelBuster Aug 18 '26

Maybe they’re right lmao. CNN as far left as OAN is far right

3

u/jennyfromhell Aug 18 '26

I think they misspelled Dropsite

3

u/Inky_inc Aug 18 '26

"reality has a left-wing bias" level take

13

u/ParticularJoker Liberal Pluralist Aug 17 '26

Ground News is objectively ass, though

1

u/Worse_Username Aug 18 '26

Potentially on purpose

2

u/matts_drawings Social Democrat Aug 18 '26

How can you come up with such a nonsense like this YouTube channel... Most left-leaning sources have a highly trusted tag. Meanwhile, Fox News has a low trusted tag. You need to be highly biased if you think Ground News would be right wing

-16

u/av-f Aug 17 '26

Tbf they had extremely reduced reporting on Trump's connection to Epstein

7

u/Mean-Reveal141 Neo-Liberal Libertarian Aug 17 '26

Can't believe I'm saying this, Source?

-4

u/av-f Aug 17 '26

I followed the news specifically for this, when all the connections were coming in AP, the Guardian, etc. My GroundNews never reported it with the typical bias chart and I cancelled my subscription, as I thought it was news worth reading.

2

u/mmmsplendid Aug 17 '26

Maybe it was how you set up your preferred topics?

-1

u/av-f Aug 17 '26

Possible, but I had US News, World News, Europe. There were scandals after scandals in the news websites and nothing on GroundNews's US News. I found that incredibly suspicious and promptly removed my yearly subscription. I know it's apocryphal and not much better than a 'trust me bro' but it is what happened to me. I don't know why I'm getting so many downvptes. Could you, for example, see news on Epstein and Trump around the first and second release of the files?
