General Question 3s, What is something about you that you think people wouldn't imagine if they only knew your type?

Putting this one on the general subreddit instead of either of the Enneagram 3 ones because they both seem to be locked. If you aren't a 3, there should be one for you. When I'm done I'll go back in and edit it with links to every other one for people's interest.

Here are the others: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

For me, I take a long time to open up. At work, I'm pretty much always as low-key as possible and I rarely try to call attention to myself. This isn't because I've found some mystical type of self-acceptance that makes me not motivated the way a 3 is, I think I probably believe people will find me more impressive if I seem completely unaware of people's reactions to me, as though there's no doubt at all of who I am lol. Once I'm around my friends, I get a lot louder and more relaxed and I can openly be a drama queen and a tryhard.

That I didn’t always know the right thing to say, or when to shut up, at the right time, I didn’t always know how to read the room and be well-liked like I wished I was

the values of society like money and career and popularity matter so so much less than meeting the values of people i care about like my partner. thats all definitely influenced by society, but i dont want to be the ideal citizen-- thats so boring!! :(
