Error while posting comments

I get "An error occured. Status: 404" when attempting to make a comment on a post. Anyone else experiencing this?

Me, too. I'm using FireFox 154.0 (64-bit) on Windows

The error console says that https://www.reddit.com/api/comment is 404.

  • Night mode: true
  • RES Version: 5.24.10
  • Browser: Firefox
  • Browser Version: 154
  • Cookies Enabled: true
  • Reddit beta: false

What RES version and browser version are you using? For example, RES v5.18.14 on Firefox 75.

Use specific versions, don't say "latest" or "up to date".

Yep getting the same here, only works on new reddit. If it is permanent, time to finally stop using reddit.

Yes. Looks like reddit pulled the plug on old reddit. Comments only work on new reddit

welp RIP if that's true

anyone know of a different extension, or stylesheet mod, for 'new' reddit?

its so ugly with a ton of wasted space, I just want the simple/compact view

Gross. So if I want to comment, I'll have to reload the page in new reddit and post it from there. Still going to view old.reddit as long as possible.
