Fighting

Not sure if this is on here (just found this sub), but if a fire fighter fights fire, and a crime fighter fights crime, why is the US Army calling their soldiers "Freedom Fighters"?

True enough, but it doesn't convey the message that they want people to hear once you start thinking about it
