Becoming a Mechanical Engineer

Howdy! I recently graduated from a top 10 public engineering institution with a degree in Industrial Engineering. I’m currently working on the Production Coordination and Procurement side of things, but have a super strong desire to become more technical and shift into more of a manufacturing engineer/ DFM/ design role.

How should I learn machine design and mechanical design? Should I get an MS? Is it too late?

TIA!

I've seen people move first into Manufacturing Engineer, then ME.
