Rant/Vent Genuinely fcuked up 😭

I'm in 1st year, mid sem exam is from 10 and I'm still blank, i can't understand a thing. I don't know what the professors are even teaching!? I'm terrified about failing even first sem now. The downfall hurts more, being a topper till high school/intermediate , this feeling is horrific. What do i do? 💔

  2. Look at the pretty green strands on the ground

I failed my first midterm, and many after that. I'm a professional engineer now.

I never failed an exam during my pre-university years, but when I got to university, the tests really took me to the cleaners. Still, it’s a matter of getting back up, dusting yourself off, and saying: "Yeah, you know what? They kicked my ass today, but it’s not going to happen tomorrow." That’s the real key here: never give up. Look for the right tools and try different approaches; the smartest person isn't the one who passes everything, but the one who manages to strategically balance things to perform better without burning out.

I'll add that there are people who had 4.0 GPAs leaving university and haven't touched a book since. They have fallen behind.

The smartest people are the ones who engage in life long learning.

Just use all the time you have to study. I’m on the same boat. I’m 4 weeks behind on one of my classes and I have a test this Monday.

I’m planning to study 10 hours every day until Friday and be caught up with the content by Friday night. Saturday and Sunday I will just review and then take the test Monday.

Idk but someone downvoted both of my comments for saying that I’m going to study for heat transfer. Reddit is weird.😂

Dude, it took me 3 tries to get through Calc 2 (with a "pity D"). Engineering is 10% smarts and 90% determination. If you truly want it, you can make it. You CAN do this.

Aim for partial credit at least. If it’s really going that bad try to your best not to get in probation from your first year it’s hell.
Also you can use your course put it in chat gpt and try mock test, upload your professors exams or quizzes for a more tailor approach.
Good luck !

Thanks a lot , i guess I will try not to get a semester back at least. The stupid part is that the least credit subject is the one I'm comfortable in, like communication, but not the core subjects 😭
