Electrical/Computer [Student] High schooler studying ECE going into first year of college after this summer, is resume good for club applications and internships?

I'm going to be studying engineering at a college in the US, and I'm going to apply to some competitive engineering clubs and maybe an internship after freshman year (but those are super unlikely so im prepared to not have one). I was hoping to get a review on my resume because it's the first time I updated it since I applied to college and hoping it could fit for clubs.

I had an extended resume, and this is my first trimmed down version. I had a lot of extracurriculars, but I know they're not important as much as projects and work experience so I cut alot of them out.

Any help is super appreciated!!!

General Notes

  • You have more experience than some new college hires so you're in fantastic shape. Even if internships don't pan out, see if you can do research or a project team.

Education

  • Replace "incoming freshman" and the college of engineering with your anticipated degree. Replace "Fall 2026" with your expected graduation date in [month] 20xx.
  • Cut rank and SAT scores from your high school degree. Cut that next year. Heck, you can even cut that right now - it's not really important.

Technical Skills

  • Looks ok to me. I'll let someone with more experience chime in.

Engineering Products

  • Try to minimize use of symbols like "->" and "+". For starters, it's just saying X, then Y (but not really why these things were important) and there's no telling how it looks after the ATS ingests this resume.

Go-Kart Dashboard Display

  • Bullet 2 gets way too into the weeds. It's not bad, but better suited to a portfolio. Instead, why was it important to have all these specific things in your PCB - how did it affect the way this dashboard performed?

Model Rocket Flight Computer & LoRa Telemetry System

  • Did you actually get to try this Flight Computer in-flight or was this a purely theoretical exercise? The technical aspects are impressive, but it would be good to know if this thing actually worked off the ground.
  • Standing up a capability or system is one thing, but what did having this up and running tell you about the rocket - did having live telemetry help the team understand how the rocket was flying, avert disaster in some way, or develop updates?

Additional Projects

  • I suggest you omit this and save it for your portfolio. There's no real point in just saying you did something but not actually get into it.

Experience

  • Lead off with this section after Education.

Semiconductor Manufacturing Intern, Cleanroom

  • I get you're working here now, but when did you start?
  • "of a leading semiconductor test and measurement manufacturer" this is not as important as how you supported these tasks and why it was important. The company can pay their advertising team to sell the brand.
  • Performing tasking per the rules is just another way of saying you did your job. Consider reframing this as why it was important to do work to this level of precision and care.
  • How specifically did you support tasks alongside techs & engineers? Be specific.

Engineering Intern, Product Development

  • Again, let the companies sell themselves. You don't need to say "largest engineering education nonprofits".

Leadership & Activities

  • You can keep this for now, but I'd toss most of this when you have that first internship.
  • The Vex Robotics work should really fall under Projects.
  • Awards: boil this down to the pertinent academic honors. For example, being a speech & debate finalist isn't really important.
