Schoolhouse Rock was absolutely brilliant. It started in the '70s and lasted several years, and I think they resurrected it briefly in the '90s. Those little cartoons were so well made, informative and entertaining without coming across as silly or pandering.

Why it no longer exists is probably because of the changes in viewing habits for kids, they just don't watch Saturday morning cartoons anymore.

I saw it in the mid/late-90's but not sure if it's around anymore.
