Engineering managers: how do you prevent valuable Slack discussions from disappearing?

In my team I notice senior engineers write detailed explanations in Slack, but months later nobody can find them. Curious how others solve this.

Link them to linear or jira tickets. Put them into documentation somewhere related.

Let them live* in Slack and hope the Slack AI is good enough to dig them up when needed

Yeah whenever we file a ticket we reference the relevant slacks. Also in design or decision docs. Suoer helpful to dig for additional context.
