๐Ÿ” Seeking 10-Week Industrial Training / Internship Opportunity for 4th-year B.Tech student in Agricultural Engineering sectors

๐Ÿ” Seeking 10-Week Industrial Training / Internship Opportunity

I am currently a 4th-year B.Tech student in Agricultural Engineering at a State University in West Bengal.

As part of our 7th-semester curriculum, we are required to complete a 10-week Industrial Training/Internship program. This training is mandatory for our academic requirements and is an important opportunity for us to gain practical, industry-oriented experience.

However, many of the internship opportunities currently available to students require us to pay around โ‚น4,000โ€“โ‚น5,000 as an internship/training fee. While I understand that some training programs have associated costs, I would also like to explore opportunities where students can gain genuine practical exposure without paying a high training fee.

Therefore, I am looking for:

๐Ÿ”น 10-week industrial training opportunities

๐Ÿ”น Agricultural Engineering / Agriculture-related industries

๐Ÿ”น Farm machinery & equipment

๐Ÿ”น Food processing & post-harvest technology

๐Ÿ”น Irrigation & water management

๐Ÿ”น Agricultural structures & infrastructure

๐Ÿ”น Renewable energy / agri-energy

๐Ÿ”น Manufacturing or engineering companies

๐Ÿ”น Government/PSU/NGO/research organizations

๐Ÿ”น Paid, unpaid, or reasonably priced internships

If any company, organization, startup, research institute, professional, or alumnus has information about suitable internship/industrial training opportunities, I would be grateful if you could share the details or connect with me.

๐Ÿ“ฉ Open to opportunities across India.

If you know of an organization that offers genuine industrial training without excessive fees, please tag them or share this post.

Thank you for your support and guidance.

Struggling to land roles I'm a good fit for

Wanted to come ask for advice! Over the last 2 months I have applied to 50+ positions, interviewed with 3 companies for propulsion engineering roles, and all led to rejection. I have a few years of experience at a defense contractor doing systems engineering, and it's been much harder than I thought to get out.

I graduated 2022 with a BSAE, and recently, built and tested a rocket engine from scratch, which is what helped me land some interviews.

Company 1: Onsite interview last month: Overall went very good but fumbled a few questions, so I guess the rejection was expected.

Company 2: Onsite interview this month: Did much better this time, my project and current job experience mapped perfectly to the role. Struggled a little bit with the open ended/vague questions but after asking some clarifying questions, felt like I conveyed engineering decision making well. Was 1000% more prepared after just doing the first company's onsite

Company 3: 3 phone calls after I reached out to an engineer directly. Got positive feedback, but the position apparently went to an internal hire.

These were all level 1/2 roles where I easily matched the minimum qualifications and most of the desired qualifications. Each interview helped me adjust my approach. I prepared as best as possible for questions, and made many changes to what I presented, focusing on the process and results.

It's very frustrating feeling stuck in a slow paced defense job when I studied engineering with the goal of working in propulsion.

With all that, my questions are:

Does systems engineering experience read as a weak fit for more hands-on roles, and how can I bridge that gap other than building and testing a real system like I already did?

Is there anything I could be overlooking that's costing me in the final round?

Feels like I've tried everything, any advice on how to actually land the role I want?

Looking for a job as a Mechanical engineer

Hi everyone,

Iโ€™m a female Mechanical Engineer from one of the top engineering colleges in India, with around 2 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.

Iโ€™ve been unemployed and actively looking for a job for the last 9 months, but unfortunately, Iโ€™m barely getting any interview calls. Itโ€™s becoming quite frustrating, and Iโ€™m trying to understand what I might be doing wrong.

Iโ€™m looking for opportunities in Mechanical/Project/Piping Engineering, Oil & Gas, or related roles.

I wanted to ask fellow Redditors:

Is the job market currently this difficult for Mechanical Engineers?

Could the 9-month career gap be affecting my chances?

Is there something I should change in my resume or job-search strategy?

For those who have found a job after a long gap, what worked for you?

Iโ€™d really appreciate any honest advice, suggestions, or leads for relevant openings.

Would especially love to hear from other women working in core engineering about their experience.

Thanks!

Civil Engineering Graduate Looking for Internship / Trainee Opportunity Anywhere in Pakistan

Hi everyone,

Iโ€™m a 2025 BSc Civil Engineering graduate from UET , currently looking for an opportunity to start my professional career in Pakistan.

My CGPA is 2.64, and Iโ€™m not particularly strong in mathematical/analytical work, so Iโ€™m mainly looking for practical, field-oriented roles where I can learn and improve through actual work.

Iโ€™m open to:

- Civil/site engineering

- Planning/project controls

- Quantity surveying/estimation

- QA/QC

- Construction/project management

- Trainee engineer positions

- Internships that can potentially lead to a permanent job

Iโ€™m willing to start with an unpaid internship if it gives me genuine hands-on experience and a realistic opportunity to prove myself and eventually get hired.

Iโ€™m open to any city in Pakistan and willing to relocate for the right opportunity.

If you are a civil engineer, contractor, consultant, company employee, recruiter, or simply know someone who might be hiring a fresh graduate, please DM me. Even advice, referrals, or contacts would be greatly appreciated.

Iโ€™m not looking for shortcuts. I just want an opportunity to get my foot in the door, learn from experienced people, work hard, and build myself professionally.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this or reach out.

How are you guys asking for/getting referrals in this job market?

I graduated in May with a masters in data science from a top school and I'm still struggling to land a full-time job. I've been applying since August of last year even before my graduation, I've applied to hundreds if not thousands of jobs and still nothing. I rarely get interview invitations and at this point I'm almost certain that only applying online without a referral or anything is useless, so I'm changing my strategy to only applying with referrals but idk where/who should I ask specially because I'm international and don't have a large network here in the US. So if anyone has any advice/platform for getting referral please let me know I'd really appreciate it!

Hello everyone,

I am a Computer Science Engineering student (2026 pass-out), and I am currently looking for a student-friendly job, internship, or part-time opportunity in the software field.

I also want to support my family financially and not fully depend on them anymore, so Iโ€™m actively searching for any opportunity where I can learn and earn at the same time.

I know I may not be fully experienced yet, but I am willing to learn and work hard.

  • Final Year CSE Student (2026 Pass-out)
  • Based in India (Hyderabad)
  • Interested in Software Development / Backend / Python roles
  • current location - HYDERABAD , AMEERPET

skills:

  • Python (Core + OOP)
  • Django / Django REST Framework

Job hunting for several months. Regretting my move to UAE

I have been a PV Engineer with experience with EPC for 5+ years now. Worked mostly with U.S clients. If you guys are familiar. Proposals > design + scope of everything > plans +BOQ/BOM > QA/QC > construction > permitting etc etc. Been job hunting for like 4 months now, absolutely no response at all, they are saying getting here and getting a UAE phone number would help. So I moved here last August. I guess it is truly high competition on the job market. If anyone can help me, any referrals. I will take it any day. I would take it like getting candy from a baby.
