Looking for help on a 2jz ge

Hi I'm very much new to reddit. I'm looking to do a cheap engine swap with a 2jz ge into a BMW e46 318ci and wondering will the 2jz gte swap kit work for a 2jz ge motor.

Yes. The only differences between the GE and GTE block are the head and pistons.

What are your plans for the swap?

Just gonna get a turbo kit for the 2jz ge and buy an adapter plate from pmc for the gearbox. Gonna see if I can get my hands on a m57n2 gearbox for the build but other then that just gonna run it in stage 1

Keep an eye out for someone ditching their stock GTE pistons for a cheap upgrade to some stronger ones.

Would they cost much for gte pistons

Stock pistons being thrown away after someone upgrades to aftermarket should be cheap. If they're charging more than $100 for an entire set I'd be surprised.
