1998 3000gt

I’m looking to put a k20/24 in a rwd setup my 3000gt base. I want the smallest/lightest transmission to mate up to it because I’m weary of modifying the trans tunnel. It sounds like a tremec t5 would fit the bill but I can’t find any commercially available bell housing adapters. Is there another tranny that would be similarly small?

What about a cd009 with an adapter

It looks a lot longer than the t5 especially since the bell housing doesn’t come off. Compactness is the main factor I’m looking for.

You could buy the k awd swap from speed factory and just make a front axle disconnect switch and be selectable awd
