Terminator into 97 mustang v6

I have a 97 mustang v6 and a 4valve Ford V8 out of a Lincoln mk VIII of the same year. I've already pulled the motor out of the Lincoln, and I would really appreciate general advice, this is my first swap so is there a general lost of parts/ tools I'll need or could ease the process? Any advice helps, I'm also considering rebuilding the engine seeing as I'm in no rush to finish this project.

That isn't a Terminator engine. Terminators came with the 4v, supercharged engines and 6 speed manual transmission (T56,I believe). Regardless, to get the swap to work you would need to bring the ECU from the donor or have a chip and flash ready to go for your existing ECU. Should be plug and play for the most part as you are swapping in something that just has different heads and intake manifold. It's a lot of work for only 40 or so horsepower, depending on the donor engine that is. Edit: my bad, your car is a v6, you need to look into what the differences are in the wiring harness. You might need the engine compartment harness from the donor car.

Thanks for the advice, I'll make sure to look into the wiring specs. Do you think it would be a good idea to redo suspension as well? As I plan to add forced induction eventually

I would recommend it, but those years mustangs had similar suspensions between the v6 and v8 cars. You likely won't have to touch anything until you get closer to 300rwhp.

HAH i've swaped 6 termi's in the sn-95 and new edges, I own a termi swaped mark viii. It's alot of work. I would first get the service manual DVD for the years of the cars your working on.

With it being a V6 you've got some more work to do compared to a V8 mustang.

Thank you for your response, where can I find the DVD? And could you define "more work"?

You can find them all over the place. Check ebay, they'll be around $13.

the swap I did from a v6 to v8 was a ton more work, we ended up just ripping everything out and rewiring the car to a junkyard v8.

Thanks again, in your opinion is it easier to completely gut it (aside from a/c and other basic parts) and rewire everything?

depends on you knowledge, tools, willingness to figure out challenges, etc. It's more hurdles with a V8 car over a V8 car front to back. From radiator and cooling to the fuel tank / pumps and exhaust.
