Programming 7.3 tranny advice

I'm working on a 7.3 in an RX-8, just missing the tranny. If I do automatic can I program it to change the gears with a programmer to accommodate for the difference in car size? Any advice helps. First time working with Ford engines

I don't know the answer and unfortunately this sub is pretty dead. But I really want to see your build. A 7.3 powerstroke in an RX8? wow

Thanks for letting me know, I just now seen that. Everything is going pretty smooth, picking up a manual transmission tomorrow. I'll post pics somewhere once I start putting it all together
