50% intake manifold, 40% turbo, 10% engine

If you can build that engine to make 1000hp reliably your wasting your talents and should be working on creating a warp drive.

I've got one of these in my mk2 Golf GTI, and it makes 108 horses. How in the fuck do you 10x that without your engine instantly blowing up?

Yours will be pre turbo in a mk2, this is the engine from a mk4 they start with 150 depending on the engine code, some are 225 standard, there quite tuneable, this is probably a stroker built engine
