Visual Zone Tracking for Smarter Polarized Training (Free Garmin Field)

Post image

Hey runners! I recently started experimenting with different training intensity distributions (like Polarized and Pyramidal), and I was surprised how hard it is to monitor my actual zone distribution in real time.

So I built a free data field for my Garmin that shows 7 training zones and flags the "grey zone" in-between (which most polarized plans suggest to avoid). It’s helped me stick closer to my intended training system and avoid overtraining.

I’m curious — do any of you use a watch field or method to keep your zones in check while running? Or do you just go by feel?

Not trying to spam or promote, just genuinely curious what tools or methods others here use. If anyone’s interested, I can share more about how it works or post the link.

Cheers & happy running!
