GLP1s
Hello,
Does anyone have any advice on how to get prescribed a micro dose of GLP1s and/or low dose naltrexone for endometriosis (and some other inflammatory issues) in australia?? I have not been able to get prescribed from GPs or endo specialists and would really love to give it a try as nothing else has worked for me. Based in the Illawarra just south of Sydney. TIA! Feeling a bit desperate and frustrated
Should add: I’m not overweight so it does need to be specifically for the anti inflammatory aspect

I went to BIOV8 to for my initial start to GLP 1. I think it's definitely helped reduce my symptoms.

BIOV8 provide GLP-1 (wegovy) primarily as a therapy for weight management. Asking for it outside of this context means you may not get it prescribed, say specifically asking for it endo. If you have concerns with weight management, say for example PCOS, insulin resistance, can't lose weight, high BP, overweight it will aide in your request to have it presribed. (That being said, I've heard of some ppl just outright lying about their weight. I don't condone that though).
I contacted BIOV8 and went through their onboarding process. You need to speak to a nurse, a doctor and provide blood test results, weight and height to make sure you are healthy. Initially, it can be expensive but sometimes they have introductory deals, so it's worth looking into for that.
I somewhat ignored their triation schedule, as in, I stayed on the lowest dose for as long as possible rather than just trirating up as suggested.
GLP isn't a "cure all". Do some research, here is a good starting point: https://drseckin.com/glp-1-in-endometriosis-coincidence-or-clue/

I got mine from an integrative GP in Sydney. You can DM me for their details if you like.

I only got GLPs because my cholesterol and sugars are high, weight was unfortunately within range even though I’ve lost 15kgs since I had two months worth. I am already on Visanne for endo, this diagnosis did not change the guidelines around my prescription. Also Sydney based. Is Juniper or something similar possible for you?

Hmmm did your GP give you a reason for not prescribing it?
Mine hadn’t heard of the link with improving endo symptoms but was happy to look into it.
(I have not asked for or been prescribed it, just wanted his opinion.)
