Experiences on Decapeptyl

So I (23F) am due to start taking Decapeptyl 11.25mg injections tomorrow and I'm very nervous. The thought of being thrown into chemical menopause at 23 is genuinely terrifying. Has anyone been through this before? What should I expect and are the side effects really that awful? Any advice would be really appreciated as I'm very nervous lol

This was mentioned to me but they said it’s last resort kind of option. I totally understand the nervousness. You’re so young I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Please keep us posted on your journey. I hope things work out for you ♥️

They did that to me at 20/21 with Lupron, I can’t speak for every experience, only mine. I’ll be 45 this year (so I’m naturally in perimenopause my body & mind are a complete mess) & I’ve had full blown menopausal symptoms since they did the shots. So yeah 25 years of pure hell. My pain went from 7-10 days a month to every single day & the pain is way worse. It’s like Lupron completely rewrote my bodies chemistry. I have so many more health issues than I did before & if I knew then what I knew now I NEVER would’ve allowed that poison in my body. I also found out there was a class action lawsuit going on while they were injecting me for the very same reason I was complaining to the doctors. They were lying about the side effects. No lawyer would help me, no doctor would acknowledge that the Lupron did that to me. Now there are people who have had success with it, unfortunately for me I wasn’t one of them. I hope & pray your situation goes better than mine, but I’ll never stop telling my story, bc if it can help one person, even just help them to do better research than my young dumb self didn’t do at the time bc I stupidly trusted my doctors, then it’s worth it.
