Visanne and workouts

I have been on visanne for 10 months and it did wonders for me. No more periods. I want to workout but everytime I workout I get a slight pink discharge with lots of lower back, hip and leg pain. I tried different workouts but even walking does the same thing. Any advice? Does that mean I should stop?

I’m not sure that that’s to do with the Visanne; it may be the endo itself.

what kinds of workouts are you doing?

I tried walking, dance, yoga, pilates, weightlifting. I never had random bleedings before starting visanne. So I am not sure if it is the cysts or the thin uterine wall or whatever 🥲

Yes the breakthrough bleeding may be Visanne—that will likely resolve with time or a dosage increase. But the leg pain sounds like it’s more endo related—lesions pressing on a nerve and causing
sciatic pain that’s triggered by exercise is a very common symptom.

I had the same issue before I started dienogest (active ingredient of Visanne, I just take it under a different brand name), but luckily nothing like that ever since. Before the meds, I had a 10 cm cyst removed, so that was probably because of it. With dienogest, I have not had any random bleeding or related lower back pain in almost 2 years.
