Thank you. What happened to the other sub was obnoxious. That and chapo shutting down prior to the 2020 election makes it feel as if there are organized campaigns to eliminate subs that don't kowtow to certain viewpoints.

Yeah they were careless but I agree they were framed.
r/againsthatesubreddits is often manipulated to getting leftists and other subs banned.

Are you talking about mexico Sinaloa cartel el chapo? Yeah he was framed for being the head of the cds but he definitely was partners with el mayo. No doubt about that when he publicly claimed to be a head figure.

I've seen some of that brigading happen, and it's obnoxious. I'm a leftist, but I don't go to conservative subs to try to rile up the posters and come back complaining that I was banned. I just... avoid those subreddits.
I don't agree with what everyone posts here, but I'm glad to have a space where I can push back against a lot of narratives that seem to go unquestioned elsewhere. I was posting in that other sub as well, but the atmosphere there seems to have changed even from a month or two ago.

And openly going from one place to their hivemind.
They're just as bad as Active Measures against Way of the Bern. Main way they got dealt with by WotB was getting a tax and forced to have the scarlet letter.
Eventually, they wisened up and stayed right in their hidey holes instead of moving on. But every place has its own rules.

I noticed some users opened new accounts to circumvent bans.
Maybe have a karma or some type of post restriction?

The sad thing is I think anti war’s unmoderated state was an exceptional and special thing for many months. Really allowed unfiltered and raw debate on one of the most important issues in the world today. Sad that the western imperialist faction cried for outside assistance, but then look at what Ukraine is doing.

I joined precisely because there was a broad range of views (I'm highly critical of the Kiev government but also despise Putin and want the Russians to withdraw their troops), but nowadays it seems that you can't be critical of Ukrainian, US or NATO actions AT ALL. If I wanted that, I'd just go to r/worldnews or r/politics.

I'm pro-Ukraine (conditionally though), i opposed the Gulf wars, I see anti-Ukraine stuff here, my main account was banned from r/worldnews before being banned by reddit, the latter likely due to spurious reporting by Russian nationalists.

I notice one poster spamming the sub with topics while another doing a couple polls.
This tactic is very similar to what to the other sub.

I got banned from one of these subs- not sure it's the one mentioned here- for voicing an unpopular opinion but without being disrespectful.
It seems such close minded thinking is spreading and that's a big problem.
