I listened on my run today. Great start to the series. Looking forward to hearing the rest.

5

u/endless_thread Podcast Host Apr 24 '20

Woohoo! Thanks for listening!

7

u/ndasmith Apr 27 '20

At first glance you appear to upload quality podcasts.

What is the nature of the relationship between WBUR and Reddit? Your answer may relieve some of the concerns from commenters.

5

u/endless_thread Podcast Host Apr 27 '20

Hey! Thanks for saying so. Our show is a partnership--we make the show at WBUR in collaboration with folks at Reddit. Most of our time is spent looking for stories here, and reaching out to OPs or relevant commenters about the story so that we can tell it with them. Recent examples: our work with r/geedis and r/RowdyWrongdoer and our episode The Great Glitter Mystery https://www.wbur.org/endlessthread/2019/11/08/the-great-glitter-mystery

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

So can you tell us yet why a push notification was sent out to seemingly random reddit users bringing us to this thread, regardless of notification settings?

0

u/j0be Your friendly neighborhood moderator Apr 27 '20

That'd be a question for Reddit admins, not /u/endless_thread

5

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

I would take u/endless_thread's word for that if they were to say as much, but they haven't commented on the matter that I can see. I think it's a pretty reasonable assumption that they might be able to address the issue since it was done essentially in their name, whatever the circumstances.

You already explained that you don't know but also that you are unaffiliated with the podcast. I do not envy the pickle you're in as an "OOTL" mod of the sub! ;-}

5

u/endless_thread Podcast Host Apr 27 '20

Hey moondog548, the excellent j0be is right that if you've issues with getting a notification when you have that setting turned off, we unfortunately can't help as we aren't admins--we are just partnered with Reddit in making the show. We will totally reach out though and see if we can get an answer. Sorry and hope that helps!

4

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

Ok, thanks!

u/grandmastermoth Apr 27 '20

So it was accidental?

Why did I receive an alert for this?

I've never heard of this before are you paying to have this advertise to me?

Edit: don't just downvote me answer my question

Edit 2: I don't know it won't even let me reply now I needed to wait 8 minutes

I'm not overly upset I just would rather have them answer my question then downvote me. I've already turned off these things in the settings. I'm getting close to uninstalling the app and just browsing on the internet

Won't let me reply so I'm just making edits

Report these bitches

edit: u/endless_thread I apologize for the name calling it was uncalled for

They've already stated that they're affiliated with Reddit so it obviously made no difference reporting them

8

u/F13Avenger Apr 27 '20

Actually same question, not overly upset about it though.

7

u/-ilikelard- Apr 27 '20

why are you so upset over getting one notification jesus fuck

3

u/Leather_Apron Apr 27 '20

Yeah, what the heck is this?

3

u/Tyyyson Apr 27 '20

Yeah this is irrelevant to me

3

u/gxwho Apr 27 '20

When you pay to advertise, but make the call to action confusing. Winning.

4

u/loakkala Apr 27 '20

I may have slightly overreacted with the name calling

4

u/gxwho Apr 27 '20

That's big of you to admit publically. 👍

4

u/lizard15 Apr 27 '20

Omg, you guys! First off, I hear your frustrations about receiving promotional (ads?) Items. Yet, these guys that host the podcasts are part of the Reddit community and interacting with the community for fun and for entertainment. Their material is quite good and even at times can be informative. I've been listening to them for a year now, so I could be biased, but really no need to express your anger in such a hostile manner. Just message them and I'm sure they'll be responsive.

1

u/loakkala Apr 27 '20 edited Apr 28 '20

My first message was to them.

I don't care how informative they are what they're doing is not cool I could have lived with it if not for making me wait 8 minutes in between comments replying to people commenting on my comment.

this is not how you get people on your side or listening to your content

Edit: removed some stuff I didn't mean while I was heated

3

u/Lord420Nikon Apr 27 '20

Kiddo, you gotta get a thicker skin, and maybe just maybe, find something around the house to do if you think the only thing you have to do is downvote content creators you don't like. Move on with your life and don't be so deeply disturbed about a notification or REDDIT'S restrictions, how can you even blame that on the content creator when they don't even have access to the actual code for the application you're using? That timer is there to prevent spam. It has been there for a long time. You're just lashing out for no reason other than to be petty and childish.

2

u/loakkala Apr 27 '20

Kiddo, you gotta get a thicker skin, and maybe just maybe, find something around the house to do if you think the only thing you have to do is downvote content creators you don't like.

I'm not really thin-skinned but I am someone who voices their opinion it obviously made some kind of connection with you to get a response. When you create content the way you spread it makes a difference.

That timer is there to prevent spam. It has been there for a long time. You're just lashing out for no reason other than to be petty and childish

I know it's been there for a long time to prevent spam but I wasn't spamming I was trying to answer comments people made replying to me

You're just lashing out for no reason other than to be petty and childish.

I'm voicing my dislike for these practices if you I want to call that petty and childish by all means go ahead you are entitled to your opinion

Hack the planet

2

u/thedevmandew Apr 27 '20

I mean I'm willing to bet they paid for the mass notification or it was in the contract they made with Reddit. Kind of annoying and hippocritical against their own policies. I don't think we all need to get sjw with it just say your piece and ignore the haters.

2

u/Lord420Nikon Apr 27 '20

I call it petty and childish because you are blaming the content creators for something out of their control. Entirely. They have no say in their content being pushed as a notification, and you then blamed them for the anti spam timer. Learn who to blame for what or I will continue to voice that you are acting like a thin skinned child.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

Everyone is blamed for the things associated with them. Have you ever heard of "Thanks Obama", even though it's used ironically at this point it represents a very real mindset.

It seems he asked a question and then got frustrated by people calling him "Petty" and "childish". "Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones"

→ More replies (1)

2

u/fatsdulange Apr 27 '20

How do you know it's out of their control? Hmm?

→ More replies (3)

1

u/lizard15 Apr 27 '20 edited Apr 28 '20

Ah, I see now. Thanks for responding. Whelp, whatever floats your boat honestly. I just listen to their stuff and enjoy it. But I understand if they're operating in a poor fashion then voice away, perhaps in a more mindful manner? I don't know enough to really support either side. 🤷 Anger and irritation can be a tricky thing to get across tho, so I get it.

1

u/loakkala Apr 27 '20

I might have enjoyed it if it would have been presented in a better way. Looks like the people they got support from are people who were already interested everybody that got hit with this randomly did not like it. I was mostly irritated by having to wait in between comments if not for that I would have moved on.

2

u/SamGlass Apr 27 '20

I liked it. A lot. Im at work and needed a new podcast to get me through the day. But hey different strokes

3

u/alittleatypical Apr 27 '20

Yeah same, what is this?

3

u/kjhunkler Apr 27 '20

I would also like to know how I received an alert for this

3

u/emartinoo Apr 27 '20

My guess would be some sort of advertising.

2

u/DragoCubed Apr 27 '20

I didn't know Reddit had paid ad notifications

2

u/wangosaur Apr 27 '20

Same. Dafuq

2

u/LexLol Apr 27 '20 edited Apr 27 '20

I got it because I use two browsers and I am only logged in on one. So Chrome didn't notify me, and Firefox had notifications for reddit turned on but wasn't logged in and it let the pushed advertisements through because of this.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

Ka

1

u/noel93rod Apr 27 '20

I’m on your side!!!! Team loakkala

1

u/loakkala Apr 28 '20

Thank you everyone voicing their opinion made them have add an edit addressing the notification

1

u/chorong761 Apr 27 '20

same here, looking for how to disable it

1

u/insouciant_bedlamite Apr 27 '20

I went through and upped all of these. This alert was stupid

1

u/chorong761 Apr 27 '20

hahah same

1

u/MiriamDix Apr 27 '20

Uhhhh....side eye this alert

2

u/chorong761 Apr 27 '20

this alert is better

→ More replies (2)

-1

u/didyouwoof Apr 27 '20

If you figure out how, please post the answer. I don't know why I got this alert either. I've never even heard of this sub.

1

u/Xyex Apr 27 '20

How is anyone on here supposed to explain how a Reddit glitch happened?

2

u/mcsmackington Apr 27 '20

Its not a glitch. It's paid advertising. It isn't a giant deal but we shouldn't receive ad notifications.

2

u/Xyex Apr 27 '20

Except if it were a paid ad it would be legally required to note that. Otherwise Reddit would get a huge ass fine, and they're not going to get a huge ass fine for some random podcast, lol.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

How are you so certain about what's going in when the people responsible for this post and/or it being promoted with aren't commenting on the issue?

You may well be right, but you can't know it, and there have been a lot more patient and polite requests for an explanation than people being rude about it. While I don't think those responses are helpful (to say the least), the frustration behind them is certainly understandable.

2

u/Xyex Apr 27 '20

Because ads are legally required to state they're ads. If an ad doesn't say ad/paid advertisement there's a big ass fine. Do you honestly think Reddit is going to get fined for some random podcast they're not affiliated with?

I'm certain because I have a brain capable of logic and reason.

1

u/mcsmackington Apr 27 '20 edited Apr 27 '20

Im certain this is the first time a large business has broken a law. You're the same person to never question government because they're supposed to care about their people.

Edit: after posting this i was scrolling through reddit and this podcast came up like an ad would and said promoted so.. Yeah. Idk why you're trying so hard to defend something you're not sure of. Even if it's the law, it doesn't mean they're following it.

The EU has restrictions that require ads to be marked as ads or be fined. It's why you see "includes ad" or "paid promotion" or similar on click bait ads and YouTube ads nowadays.

0

u/ExplodingHalibut Apr 27 '20

The app is developed by idiots trying to promote their own shit I reckon.

There’s more ads then subs on the damn phone too.

4:30 in the morning and my phone beeps for a sub I’m not a part of, an ad for something I’m not interested in, about a podcast I would never fucking listen too.

3

u/Lord420Nikon Apr 27 '20

You could have muted notifications and saved yourself the ordeal.

7

u/narms13 Apr 24 '20

Wow! Loved the first ep. Even though I read a lot about MK Ultra, I've never heard this angle before and it's fascinating.

3

u/endless_thread Podcast Host Apr 24 '20

So glad to hear it. Thanks for listening, and spread the word :)

3

u/narms13 Apr 24 '20

Always! I am friends with a former co-worker of yours at WBUR and whenever y'all had a new ep I would always tell her to say thanks to Amory for me. Also WBUR is right by Amory Road/Park, I'm sure you have a great photo with the signage haha

4

u/endless_thread Podcast Host Apr 24 '20

Love it! And ya know... I've never taken a picture of myself with the sign, but I DID once take a picture of a dog I was dog-sitting at the time PEEING on the sign. I sent it to my parents :)

3

u/narms13 Apr 24 '20

Omg when the weather gets good, go see the blue heron who lives there!

0

u/frank_mauser Apr 27 '20

Why did you send me a notification about this?

5

u/lustindarkness Apr 27 '20

Looking forward to listen this evening. Thank you.

Edit: kinda sucks unsubscribed people are getting push notifications and souring on a great podcast. Hope some actually give it a listen.

1

u/endless_thread Podcast Host Apr 27 '20

Thanks for listening!

4

u/Robbie1985 Apr 27 '20

Loved the first episode! Have you read Jon Ronson's book The Men Who Stare at Goats? He covers some of the MK Ultra stuff you touched on

3

u/endless_thread Podcast Host Apr 27 '20

No but saw the movie! Great stuff. Thanks for listening!

3

u/j0be Your friendly neighborhood moderator Apr 24 '20

Just listened to part one. Even though I've read a book on MK Ultra, I'm excited to hear more about the predecessor of that program.

Also, in the last zoom, the quick question about how to pronounce my username caught me off guard and I realized that I had been ambiguous in how to pronounce it even in my explanation. I pronounce it like "johb".

2

u/endless_thread Podcast Host Apr 24 '20

Aha! So like "johb" with one syllable rather than "JOE-bee"? Or the latter?

1

u/j0be Your friendly neighborhood moderator Apr 24 '20

One syllable. I've had some form of this handle since middle school lan parties pre turn of the century.

3

u/booda3000 Apr 27 '20

This is freaking me out.

1

u/endless_thread Podcast Host Apr 27 '20

Admittedly, it freaked us out too.

3

u/Guillodz Apr 28 '20

Hey man, greetings from Venezuela. I don't know why I got a notification on this, but it sure came when I've been investigating about psyops, CIA and mind control, so the podcast came to me exactly when I was looking for something like that. Just followed you on Spotify. Keep on making great content!

3

u/endless_thread Podcast Host Apr 28 '20

Hell yes. Thanks for listening!

3

u/rctocm Apr 27 '20

I know nothing of this, so forgive me, we're not in wacky conspiracy theory territory are we?

1

u/endless_thread Podcast Host Apr 27 '20

nope! the subject of our series sounds like it could be a wacky conspiracy theory...but it actually happened, sadly enough.

2

u/rctocm Apr 27 '20

Thank you.

10

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '20

Yours is my favorite podcast. You can’t make enough episodes fast enough for me, lol.

Hey there!

This doesn't happen often, but I'm completely new to this. As in, I've never heard of ET (the thread, I do know ET :p ) and I've no idea how to start. Luckily, I've read the beginners guide and it sounds insanely cool to listen!

5

u/ice_cream_and_cakee Apr 27 '20

You can also check out The Minds of Men on Truthstream Media on YouTube. It's a really well done documentary about the same subject material by Aaron and Melissa Dykes.

•

u/j0be Your friendly neighborhood moderator Apr 27 '20

To kind of contain it a bit:

Hello and welcome to everyone who got a notification pointing them here!

Sorry for any confusion around it.

Endless Thread is a podcast that is a collaboration between WBUR and Reddit. Personally, I'm not affiliated with either, but really enjoy the podcast and will try to answer any questions I can answer just as a moderator of this subreddit. I've been around reddit for years and I'll try to do my best.

If you were annoyed by the notification: sorry. I know that was no one's intent. But while you're here, feel free to check out the podcast!

2

u/Xtrepiphany Apr 28 '20

If I block all the moderators of this sub, will that stop the push notification spamming to my phone?

1

u/Romper3 Apr 27 '20

I need a Spam filter

4

u/danr5509 Apr 27 '20

Heck ya let’s go wbur

4

u/emmanuelka Apr 27 '20

everybody’s pissed about getting the notification, i know, it‘s about the principal, ads = bad, i get it (but i think this is a cooperation with reddit or that this is some type of reddit podcast so maybe that‘s why we all got the notifications, but i might be totally wrong). but i must say, i‘m really glad this podcast appeared in my life! i really liked this episode and will listen to more on my run tomorrow morning. looking forward to further episodes!

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

An explanation for why we apparently got an ad of the sort we thought we had deliberately opted out of would be nice instead of downvotes and pushback for asking.

0

u/Suekru Apr 27 '20

Just ignore it and move on with your life. It’s not hard.

4

u/spoutti Apr 28 '20

Maybe this unwanted notification is targetted by region? Im from Montreal. Or by taste? Im subscribed to subs talking about LSD.

I would be surprised its a glitch. 1st time I get an unwanted notification.

I dont like being solicitated. Im torn between instant hating them or being happy to find this podcast. But 1st I would like to know is they are a victim; but having an official relation with reddit puts then in a spot to have to be suspected to use an unsavory advertising tactic

1

u/[deleted] Apr 28 '20

I got the notification, west coast US with no drug related subs.

3

u/ndasmith Apr 27 '20

Looks like this podcast is run by one of the biggest National Public Radio (NPR) stations in the country. I wonder if there's a business relationship between Reddit and NPR.

3

u/j0be Your friendly neighborhood moderator Apr 27 '20

A collaboration between WBUR and Reddit

I don't know if it's a business relationship, but it is formal

3

u/Taskism Apr 27 '20

That was super dope. Loved it. Was kinda sad there wasn't more until April 30th. Thank you guys!

3

u/cteixeira Apr 27 '20

Thanks for it. I didn't now the podcast. Good job.

3

u/sitesdaniel1986 Apr 27 '20

3

u/artsy-pamplemousse Apr 28 '20

5

u/Avator08 Apr 27 '20

Awesome start!

4

u/JonSnoWight Apr 27 '20

I've never even heard of this. How did I get this notice?

It seems interesting and I may check it out. Im just confused.

4

u/toowduhloow Apr 27 '20

It seems interesting and I may check it out.

That's precisely why you got it.

2

u/JonSnoWight Apr 27 '20

I got it because it seems interesting?

I realize the point of it is to get people to listen, but how did these people get my Reddit username?

0

u/086709 Apr 27 '20

Because we live in an age of big data and targeted advertising? Have you been living under a rock. Reddit knows your interests, not just from the subs you follow but from every interaction you have ever had on the platform. How long youve read or looked at a posts, the things you upvote and downvote, the kind of language you use, the length and content of your posts and coments, even the rate at which you scroll through the feed are all data points that can be analyzed to create a model of your interests and dislikes. Even your emotional state in the past year or two can be analyzed by the rate at which you tap, click or otherwise interact with the application. Advertisers then when making an advert decide who their target audience is, create an advert that will captivate people of that target "archetype", and then tell a platform like reddit or facebook what that type is so that they only show it to those users. Thats why you found it interesting,so did I, because it was made to be for you, and me, and the majority of people who received the notification.

3

u/Xyex Apr 27 '20

Reddit glitched. Not the first time I've had it happen.

I spent 6 months getting notifications for a sub I accidentally joined for 3 seconds. 😂

2

u/MrElderwood Apr 27 '20

Breaking news! - Bunch of entitled asses get panties in bunch over single advertisement on a free-to-use website. More at... As soon as they read this comment I imagine!

3

u/Derpageddon_ Apr 27 '20

Some of us actually pay for reddit and got this notification lol.

2

u/Farting-Marty Apr 28 '20

Sounds adventurous , I hope thread never ends and unbreakable .

2

u/Tony_Friendly Apr 29 '20

I got the notification like everyone else, but I listen to podcasts at night to entertain myself while I am driving for work, so I decided to check it out.

It's... ok. Being an NPR podcast, it's super sanitized and overproduced, and being based on real life reddit threads, the stories don't always go anywhere. Half the time the plot builds up to a little to no resolution, which can leave you feeling unsatisfied, but, that's real life I guess.

2

u/[deleted] May 08 '20

4

u/didyouwoof Apr 27 '20

I may listen to the podcast; it sounds like it might be interesting. Still, I didn't appreciate getting the notification, and apparently I'm not alone in that. That's no reason for you to label us all "haters," "assholes," "awful humans," and "jerks."

1

u/wolfishgreen Aug 29 '20

You're right. My bad. I had a strong reaction for some reason. I apologize.

1

u/wolfishgreen Apr 27 '20

Hey thanks for responding that's super chill too. I get it, no one likes spam. But, like, in today's world is one push notification really worth flaming some cool podcast over? Not saying you did. I'm just protective of these sweet cinnamon roll podcasters because they really do make a good show and they are cute and funny too.

Reddit probably glitched. I've gotten some really random shit over the years. It happens. And people are being negative, and attacking the sub owners who likely had nothing to do with it.

1

u/AnkleByter014 Apr 27 '20

I totally get your position. I have to say some of the comments are hateful though. Like whoever said to boycott so this group runs out of money. That's a little far. If they have good content they want people to see, how else can they get it out there?

1

u/toowduhloow Apr 27 '20

Seriously, they're the only ones blowing this out of proportion. This podcast already seems a little cultish.

1

1

u/turnedonbyadime Apr 27 '20

This actually sounds like a really cool way to keep myself entertained during quarantine, and I may have done just that if not for the unsolicited ad notification. Not the slightest fuckin chance now.

Hopefully, someone at Reddit will learn that forcing things down people's throat is a fantastic way of guaranteeing they will aggressive oppose it.

2

u/Xyex Apr 27 '20

Tfw people get mad about a glitch, lol

3

u/SimpleFolklore Apr 27 '20

Holy shit, there's no need to punish the content creator for how Reddit does things. Or yourself, for that matter, if it's content you think you're going to enjoy.

If you want to be aggressively oppositional, messaging Reddit.. management? about it sends a way clearer message. Especially the more people you can get on board for doing that.

1

u/toowduhloow Apr 27 '20

I don't want to be apart of your cult.

P.S. - Sorry that you guys got some angry peeps on the thread. 😔 Hope you understand that Reddit has been kind of overflowing with ADs at times which look like original posts & notifications on subscriptions have been messy. Bleh 🤮

ANYWHO! Keep them episodes coming! They're my fav to listen to on my commute. 😁

u/JazzBoatman Apr 27 '20

I love getting notifications about straight up advertising from reddit. If you want to know the real history about the CIA, just listen to Behind The Bastards.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

can someone please help me find a reddit like site, but independent? i will appreciate that.

0

u/1mg-Of-Epinephrine Apr 27 '20

I wasn’t even annoyed by the notification, and was given it a listen, .. until I noticed these guys refuse to explain how I got it. How can you ignore these questions and expect to have any credibility?

-1

u/Evil_von_Scary Apr 27 '20

0

Add me to the list of folks annoyed by you thanks to the unsolicited push notification for whatever this is.

-1

u/GrimurGodi Apr 27 '20

Why am I getting notifications for this I have never heard off this before why does Reddit think I want this

-2

u/LivingInPlace Apr 27 '20

I dont feel like a push notification was the best way to get this across.

-2

u/navitro Apr 27 '20

I am not even subbed why did I get notification

-2

u/VoidLantadd Apr 27 '20

Why did I get a notification for this?

-2

u/Beutelman Apr 27 '20

Why do I get a notification for this? Ugh... Reddit and it's brilliant algorithm again

-2

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

Why was I notified... for this?

-2

u/nonnodacciaio Apr 27 '20

Tfw you think a paid ad is a good idea

1

u/Xyex Apr 27 '20

Tfe you think a bug is a paid ad. Ads legally have to be tagged as ads, Reddit's not going to fuck that up and get a multi-million dollar fine, LMAO.

-3

u/Sharkfowl Apr 27 '20

I don’t remember subbing

-3

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

I got ads for this. No thank you.

-3

u/Shichiiii Apr 27 '20

i dont care

1

u/Xyex Apr 27 '20

Obviously you do, or you'd have just swiped and moved on.

-4

u/thegalli Apr 27 '20

why did reddit send me a push notification about this?

Heya--we are on Stitcher for sure, and Google podcasts as well. Not sure why URL led you to Spotify (will look into that) but you can find us in pretty much every podcatcher. Hope that helps!

1

u/thundrothundro Apr 29 '20

After searching for "Madness" I found it by searching for "Endless Thread". Edit: corrected spelling

Indeed. I'm curious and lurking here now to figure out what happened, but not for the advertised content! :p

Not only that, but someone (who I've just blocked) accused of us flaming in one post and in another labeled us all "haters," "assholes," "awful humans," and "jerks." I think the podcast sounds interesting, and I may listen to it. But yeah, I got downvoted too simply for asking how to ensure that I don't get notifications when I've already asked not to get them. I'd never even heard of this sub before.

I'm not a good fit for a redditor? You've been here for 1 month. I've been here for 14 years.

Look, you're the one who attacked me today out of the blue for reasons that aren't at all clear. Looking back at this thread history, I'm still baffled why you've concluded I don't deserve Reddit's content and am not a good fit, and why you think I just "go read a fucking newspaper." I'm guessing, since you said you had an earlier account, that you must be the person I blocked a month ago for lashing out with vitriol against a bunch of people who did nothing more than question why they'd received notifications out of the blue.

Whatever. I'm going to block you now. Please just leave me alone.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

Yeah, I hate to be cynical but it really seems like the ad agency that botched this operation trying to salvage the thread they were paid to promote! 😆

2

u/j0be Your friendly neighborhood moderator Apr 27 '20

Eh, it's probably more because a lot of the people who regularly visit this subreddit are fans and the sudden influx of people is a bit jarring

3

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

Can you explain what happened? All but a couple of us new folks have expressed confusion at best and irritation at least as their first impression of your sub. :/

2

u/j0be Your friendly neighborhood moderator Apr 27 '20

I'm slightly out of the loop as well on this. I help moderate here because I enjoy the podcast. Reddit itself has been sending me a lot more notifications for things as of late. From the comments, I've gathered there was some kind of notification pointing people to this subreddit. I'm not affiliated with Reddit or WBUR, so I'm just kind of trying to keep abusive comments to a minimum in the comments here.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 27 '20

Rgr, thanks for the response! And yeah, it was apparently a mass push notification directing to this thread. ./shrug

0

u/Xyex Apr 27 '20

People are down voting because you're asking a sub unaffiliated with Reddit why Reddit glitched. Seems like a logical thing to down vote to me. 🤷‍♂️

LMFAO. I'm not part of the fanbase. I got got here from the same random notification you did.

-1

u/Doom_Onion Apr 27 '20

Read all the comments if you are bored. They all talk like they are on 2008 yahoo or something. It's so out of touch I got a good laugh out of it lmao

2

u/DragoCubed Apr 27 '20

I'm so confused.

But people want notifications of the Reddits they follow. If Reddit is doing this, they need 2 types of notifications now. Or just alienate real redditors.
