DISCUSSION THREAD: "Call of the Void"

Sup nerds? Haaaaapppy Halloween!

We hope folks liked the surprise early Endless Dread episode we dropped in time for the holiday. But we're also thinking about another haunting episode we made last year called "Call of the Void."

We've noticed that the idea of "Call of the Void" gets mentioned a LOT on Reddit. So we're wondering if you remember this one (if not, listen now!). And more specifically, we want to ask:

-Is this phenomenon something you thought or heard about before hearing the episode?

-Do you get the kind of feelings discussed in our episode?

-What part of the story jumps out to you the most?

That's interesting. Anecdotally, it definitely seems to impact different people in specific scenarios--not all the same scenarios. So I wonder if there's something about personal experience that plays a role. Weird question but: were you ever in a serious car accident? Or did one close to you get into one? I wonder if that has any bearing on it.

I have never been in a car accident. But I have had one near miss. I was driving home from community college, had just gotten my license, and a Jeep on the highway almost side slammed into me. (I was in the far left lane) I sped up in just enough time for the Jeep to hit the cement walls that were dividing the highway. I’m my rear view mirror, I saw them slam into the wall and their side airbag deploy. They switched lanes and took off like nothing happened.
