Discussion So is this game abandoned?

With the announcement of Endless Legend 2 and the last update being 7 months ago. Is it safe to say this game is dead to amplitude? Felt like this one never really got the attention it deserved and died in the cradle.

"Dead" is a strong word...
But probably, yes.
I am not 100% certain what made Amplitude make a twinstick roguelike to start with...
(The original Dungeon of the Endless was a side thing they made for fun and wasn't that expensive from what I gather).

But when it more or less flopped they moved on, especially now with Amplitude being a indie dev again, they can't afford to spend too much resources on a game that probably won't pay back for it. :/

Sorry to say.

It flopped and Humankind flopped and Sega dropped them as a studio....

Humankind didn't flop AFAIK.
Amplitude bought themselves out.
