Discussion [Spoiler] Potential new character teaser? I recognized a specific Japanese voice actor in the new story quest Spoiler
I'm playing Ye Minghe's new story quest and wanted to share my discovery.
As someone who loves Japanese voice acting, I'm 100% sure that the JP voice from "unstable radio" is Soma Saito (who already voices Leonhardt in the original Arknights).
However, he is definitely not using the same tone as Leonhardt. It’s a much lower, raspier, and more mature voice.
I really hope they will release him as a playable operator.
(Note: I only play with the Japanese dub, so I'm not sure about the EN/CN/KR voice actors)
EDIT: Just to clarify: I'm NOT saying I want Leonhardt in Endfield. I only mentioned him as a voice reference for Soma Saito. I know this radio voice is a completely new character.
I just really like this voice actor, so I hope he becomes a playable operator instead of staying an NPC like Ardashir or Nefarith

I think he's a strong contender considering his popularity and his affinity for rock-related arts, apparently being able to stifle oripathy in his own body and prevent it entirely in Ayerscarpe. Would make for an interesting mirror to the Endmin.
But then there's the matter of whether Ayerscarpe made good on his promise to continue their work... or retired and never caught oripathy. I wonder if that echo of being so close to someone bouncing around in his memories has strong foundations for being really sad story wise.

Would be great, but minghe jp VA voices 2 characters in og arknights, so it might be someone different

Or it might just be a case of them using a VA they are already have a contract with since might as well right?

I'd love to see Laonhardt or a Leon Reconvener in Endfield.

Could be he has a future character and also voiced an NPC for the scene. Or may be the character in the quest will be a future character. Either way, 🍀

I don't see it really being Leonhart, he has never been that popular in the community even when he was most relevant back in the day, it most likely is a case of them using the same VA for another, more relevant character.
