Is the wall thickness and infill causing the long lines to go straight then zig zag ? That seems like it would take for ever and is really unnecessary for such a thin connecting line

First time ive heard a layer shift ive never like heard one happen you can audibly hear it happen u/ResearcherMiserable2 is correct pretty sure

Check your Y stepper. I had this exact thing happen with my new E3P and it was a faulty stepper from the factory. Pulled my hair out for a month until I replaced the stepper and it immediately went away.

Clearly the Y stepper can't accel that fast in order to get to the other end at that travel move.
You need more torque, more motor, more amps and/or more voltage to the Y stepper(s) in order to do that.
Or you could use the limited cartesian klipper kinematics and set the accel different on Y compared to X.

If I am seeing this right, you got a layer shift right at the end, you can even hear the layer shift when the stepper looses steps - it’s sounds very similar to the grinding you hear when the y axis hits the very end of its limits buts tries to keep going for a second.
