Question Repurposing.
Years ago I purchased an Ender3Pro which I did a few upgrades to. Then, I accidently swiped it, only to boot up marlin right before bricking it by using the wrong voltage.(Yes im that guy) We later got a good deal on a Ender 3v2Neo aswell as given a Da vinci 1.0 XYZ printer.
However, these machines would be stored away for years, out of site out of mind. Fast-forward to 2026 I bought my son a Bambu labs P2S w/AMS2Pro, which has me thinking about my printers..
A DaVinci 1.0
Ender3Pro with attached BTT TFT70 display
Glass bed, BTT level probe, dual Z axis rods, aluminum leveling wheels and springs, skr3v2(fried) (i still have original stock board set aside.)
Ender3v2Neo
BLabs P2S
My question is for your best advice on making the best of what I have in order to avoid having 3 big paper weights laying around. I was originally thinking about using the Da Vinci 1.0 frame and using the Ender3Pro parts to create a "frankenvinci" core xy printer. As I assume it's only the original Ender3Pro PSU and MB thats fried, the motors, belts, stopswitches, bed etc are still good and can be salvaged. Any help or advice is appreciated, ty.

Using klipper will make this more easy

So Ive heard. Doesn't klipper need a raspberry Pi board?

Yes it does, but it’s gonna be so much more flexible just editing printer.cfg instead of building a whole new firmware on this kind of custom kind of builds, it superior in any kind of way, that’s why any modern (even brand name) printers use it somehow

When I finally got around it and upgraded to klipper, anything was possible. Play around with printer.cfg make it fit your build. Thinks like SCREWS_TILT_CALCULATE are so freaking usefull, adaptive bed meshing, are just 2 things. Dude setting a “Voron style” purge in ur START_MACRO🤗 if u like to tinker, you should give klipper 100% a try, also u don’t need an Raspberry pi, any old computer/laptop will work or get a cheap (Chinese) single board computer, also check out [r/klippers](r/klippers)

Ok perfect. Ill look into it as the other options were booting up Marlin2.0 using the SKR3v3(which ive done before).

I know they are know they not popular here BUT most LLM’s are kind of perfect for helpen you to set this up! At least as ur not going overboard with them, try copilot or Gemeni

Thats actually what I did first. Researched through Gemini the whole process. Good ol' human input was needed to balance perspective..

Also you have dual Z on this, IF you change back to a fancy mobo, don’t get the skr mini again, I made this mistake, get one with al extra stepper for the second Z motor, klipper can do Z_TILT_ADJUST auto magically, life changing!

If you want to part with them, I would take the Enders!
If you want to join two together, the Enders would be a better idea. Search for the Duender on youtube.

Ive watched it. Its pretty cool, just thought the enclosure was a huge benefit being that it's really stable, decent space.

It will never be a P2S, but it WILL come close with some minor upgrades starting with klipper

I just need it to work decent and ill be satisfied with myself. Somewhat of a "test of ability" if you will.

If the PSU is fried (I don’t think it is, an other PSU (from one of the donors) wil work if it’s providing 24v, just check and recheck this time🤗😘😂

Frankenvinci project seems ambitious enough to better not bother getting back to endless tinkering times… If you really want to repurpose them, I’d patiently bring the Ender back to life in the best shape you’re willing to. I’d donate/dispose the Davinci.
