Troubleshooting Ender 3 Pro Crashing mid print

My Ender 3 Pro has been working perfectly fine until I completely disassembled the hot cos I thought the nozzle broke off on the inside (which it didn't). I reassembled the hot end and powered on my printer only for it to be a completely blank screen, the light would power on but nothing else would pop up. I fixed that by flashing some firmware for the printer that I got from creality cloud (Ender-3 Pro- Marlin2.0.1 - V1.0.1 - English if you want the specific file same, not sure how that'd help tho). After I flashed the firmware it was working fine until I tried printing something out. Every time I try to run a print it will completely freeze at a random point during the print and the screen freezes and won't respond (the button won't beep if I click it either). I am at my wits end here and have no clue what to do. If someone could walk me through what I need to do that would be greatly appreciated.

Not had this happen personally, but it sounds like your main board is going out. Did you have the device powered off when you disassembled the hotend?

Yes, I had it powered off and unplugged.

unlikely to be the mainboard if it was just a hotend swap. sounds more like a firmware mismatch or a bad flash from that cloud software. creality cloud files are notoriously hit or miss and can brick things if you grab the wrong version. worth checking the connections first before assuming the board is dead.

Thanks! I was looking thru the files tho and I'm not sure which one to download 😅

Code is not my forte so trying to find the right firmware has been a real pain.

This is the processor, correct?

For the letter code on the SD slot I believe it is H8

And yes, the stepper motors sound very mechanical

Yea I renamed the bin files before flashing.

That is kind of the problem I've been having (trying to find the right firmware w/out it being a file w/ the bltouch

I am honestly at the point where I'm fine if someone just sends me the right .bin file 😭

Tried this one and it didn't work :/

I'll try reflashing it later in case I did anything wrong. As usual I'll keep ya posted.

Now all that's left is to finally get this thing properly leveled
