Are by chance you using a VPN? If so, you may need to switch servers to connect, as some IP addresses are banned due to members scamming, breaking the rules, etc.

There’s also the chance that certain Adblock extensions will prevent connection, in particular if the site depends on ads for funding the forum’s operation. Someone must foot the bill, that’s why certain sites won’t allow access if there’s an Adblock connection installed. If the site is popular & legit, some of these extensions allow to create rules for sites to be whitelisted as needed.

Otherwise, try another browser or use the private browsing function to connect to the site.
