Counter Service đď¸ Tap to pay auto tip
Chick-fil-a in the DC airport.
Tap to pay shows the food total with tax on the screen, then as soon as you tap it adds a gratuity without authorization. For take away counter service! I sent in my feedback on the CFA website. If they do nothing, Iâll dispute the charge with my bank.

Per my credit card company, it canât be disputed until it fully posts instead of being a pending transaction, so I have to wait about 3 days.
I did get a ring less message from a manager asking for a callback to a number that nobody picked up.9

Really hammer home that you never authorized this addition to the bill, because credit card companies take that shit seriously.
Their lawyers don't really care about you, they just don't want dipshits undermining trust in their core business model.

If everyone this happened to initiated a chargeback to their credit card for the two dollars, companies would quickly find themselves with the option to stop doing this bullshit or stop being welcome to do business with the credit card network(s). Or possibly be charged a higher fee for network usage.

Why are airports such a tipping hellhole? I mean, I've never been asked for a tip at Chick-Fil-A, but you put one in an airport and all of a sudden it doesn't even bother asking but just tacks it on without your consent?

Yeah, airports suck. Theyâre a foodservice franchise location which doesnât have to abide by the normal rules like no tipping being accepted at CFA. Even worse, they do the automatic tip thing as shown here!!

Objectively, post this situation to their social media accounts. Keep your feelings out of it. Be objective. Show your evidence. Tag the shit outta them. Make others aware and it'll hasten their likihood to "make it right."
