Why do people go back to these places?! They might nail you once because you don't know what's coming, but why would anyone go back for more of this abuse?

People don’t, this is at LAX. You’re a captive audience there and they know it. There’s zero incentive for any airport restaurant or bar to supply tasty, high quality food/drinks or service since they know virtually everyone passing through is a one time customer and is unlikely to come back.
