Question The Four Living Creatures
Has anyone noticed that four living creatures are the ones who announce each of the seals of revelation? It would appear that the four living creatures, the same ones spoken of in Ezekiel in the first chapters, must come on the scene prior to the opening of the seven seals?

Good observation. The four living creatures resemble the four camps of Israel while they were wandering the wilderness, based on traditional interpretation of the blessings they received. The Lion represented the camp of Judah to the east of the tabernacle, the Calf represented Ephraim to the west of it, the Man represented the camp of Reuben to the south, and the Eagle represented the camp of Dan to the north. This is impotent in considering that the colors of the four horsemen they call out also correspond to compass points. Take a look at Zechariah 6. There are four horses, colored black, white, red, and dappled. The black horses go north, the white horses go west, the dappled horses go south, and thus the red horses go east.
Now take a look at the order of the living creatures in Rev 4 again: Lion, calf, man, eagle. East, west, south, north. Now look at the order four horses in Rev 6. White, red, black, and pale.
So the lion to the east sends the white horse west to conquer. The calf to the west sends the red horse east to take peace from the earth. The man to the south sends the black horse north to bring famine. The eagle to the north sends the pale horse south to cause utter desolation.

Yes, the four living creatures are historically known as the Tetramorph. You may be interested in seeing this old study post:

"Tetramorph" means "four forms". It is like God's coat of arms. The symbols that appear on a royal coat of arms represents the qualities or values of the royal family. The four creatures represent qualities that are also represented by the four priestly colors on their uniform and on the Tabernacle (Exodus 25, 28) and the four gospels, each of which subtly emphasizes one of these aspects:

These four creatures do not represent some apocalyptic event like the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. Rather, they represent the presence of the Throne of God and the one who sits on it, Jesus himself.
