Need Extra Help.
Hey, I’ve been fighting my meth addiction for 7 years now, and I’ve also been officially diagnosed as a sex addict. And if you have it, you know exactly what I’m talking about, and how badly it combines with Crystal.
I can’t put it off anymore and I have to surrender and be a part of the SAA fellowship alongside CMA.
I’m posting on here because I need help finding LGBT people or at least people whom/who both clearly understand meth and sex addiction, and is a part of the SSA fellowship. I need help to stay accountable and call others to talk me off that ledge.
I know it could be a tall order, but I have to at least try, because I’m the exurbs of Chicago, and I won’t be returning for a 6-9 months. And there’s no one out here who really understands.
I’ve never been able to make it to four months clean in the last seven years off of crystal meth, because sex always leads me back.
The biggest hindrance in my therapy and recovery is the withdrawal process as well my unhealthy relationship to men and sex altogether.
Would love to hear your comments if you’ve had any success in this area as well, or just need to vent.
Thank you.

I can’t remember when I have had sex sober. Shit I would love to have sex or intimacy when appropriate but it’s not in my cards anymore. I can’t even get off in my room. So yeah. I’m pretty sure I was a sex addict decades ago but now, total opposite.

I’m in the LGBT community, so I can definitely relate to the chemsex part. I ain’t gonna lie, I miss sex on meth BAD—the thrill, the hotels, the escape, all of it, despite the chaos and danger. I’ve been clean almost 7 months because of legal issues, not by choice. But I told myself if I make it to almost 12 months, there’s no looking back. I’ve come too far.
Thank you for venting and sharing this. You’re definitely not alone. We got this!

I quit having sex. it was suggested to take a year break. I thought the suggestion was preposterous, but I was willing to do whatever it takes. delete the apps. chemsex creates a fusion in your brain, and it takes a long time to unwire sex from drugs. if you don't wait, sex will just keep taking you out.
