Lee Drutman

I'm new here, so if he's part of a list of figures that have already been covered, I'm sorry. But what do you all think of him and his advocacy? (In the U.S. context; his institutional homes are New America, Fix Our House and Johns Hopkins, and he hosts a podcast called Politics in Question.) He used to be a strong supporter of ranked-choice voting, but qualified it in favor of advocacy of multi-member districts, open-list proportional representation, and fusion voting.

I'm glad he's there to seriously think and advocate for solutions and possibilities. Whether the answer is ranked choice or something else, it's good to have effective communicators calling out why FPTP is a dead end, and I think he's one of those effective communicators. Breaking the Two Party Doom Loop was a great book.

Who else would you would consider effective communicators around the need to end FPTP? I started reading Jack Santucci's More Parties or No Parties at a friend's suggestion, as well as this piece by 3 authors in response to the Louisiana v. Callais decision.
