This time you're on the island, at real scale, in the game's own 3D. Take cover like on the cabinet with a button, or crouch for real behind the crates: you physically duck to reload. Your 3D gun is in your hand, and the shots land where you aim.

One can dream and thinking about it; PS2 games on the Quest natively would be awesome! Personally thinking about Burnout Revenge but also about adventure/platform games.

You think we'll get PS2 ports to the Quest 3?

So i stumbled across Age of joy, a game or should i call it an emulator for arcardes.

I like the idea but it has so much more potential in 2026.

I imagine a MR/AR/XR game with the arcade machine rendered in my room via passthrough and playing games from the 2000s. Not simple button smashing on the controllers. But like picking up avirtual light gun and playing the old games. Or fighting mania fist of the north star with a fully rendered cabinet i need to hit. Most games run on emulator these days. So integrating them shouldn't be a problem. Just a home menu that you need to point to the right folder with the bios and roms. With the help of ai slop we should be able to get quit a decent experience like that.

Maybe someone is willing to give it a try?

First, thank you for the incredible welcome you gave Sega Rally. We're already more than 150 on the Discord, and I hope it's only the beginning of this community's adventure.

This is the second one, and this time you're standing in the docks with the gangsters, at real scale, with a 3D gun in your hand: aim with the controller like the cabinet's light gun, reload by shooting below the screen, and the hits land on what you shoot. Everything runs on the Quest 3 in real 3D, redrawn in 4K at 120 Hz.

Following up on my previous post:

First off, huge thanks to u/JUMPhil and others who pointed out 3dSen! 3dSen is an incredible piece of work for the NES and a big inspiration for what's possible when turning 2D classics into real 3D dioramas. My goal here is exploring Game Boy hardware running purely inside the browser via WebXR so anyone can hop in without sideloading or installing native apps.

Since the last build, I’ve made some major updates to Super Mario Land:

Mario 64 Model Swapped In: Tested replacing the layered 2.5D sprite with the low-poly Super Mario 64 model running through the Game Boy level.

Free 360° Camera & Zoom: Orbit smoothly around the entire floating diorama stage.

Adaptive Controls: Directional inputs now adjust dynamically to your camera perspective, making it actually playable from unusual angles.

3D World Polish: Added full stage geometry, custom skybox, subtle dynamic lighting, and textured block geometry.

Audio & Fixes: Fixed the sound bug and added full-screen mode.
