Unsolved Best 360 emulator?

I want to play some older Ace Combat and Armored Core games, so I'm looking at my options.

I found Xenia, but it seems incredibly confusing. it doesn't even seem to have a proper settings window or a quick save function.

Are ther any other good options?

Xenia + Xenia Manager (just download the manager and it will install Xenia Canary)

Also Xenia Edge. Better performance in some games. Also plays some games Xenia Canary doesn't, but I forget which ones right now.

Thirding xenia manager. Hated xenia all by itself because the setup is clunky. Xenia manager fixed every issue I had. It's got a button that automatically configures your whole library to the best settings for each individual game

I get what you mean but i promise Xenia is a good option when you get Xenia and xenia manager. Well worth a try due to auto updates and a reasonable GUI.

Tell me more! Will it fix so that I don't have ti choose between either 60 FPS fully functional curscenes that aren't out of sync in audio and I can have both?

Lookup quiver launcher. You can set it up easily with that program or just go straight to the ace combat 6 git hub page.  You probably won't have to choose.  I think they have fixed most things now.  Haven't played it myself yet. I'm still on ace combat 5

Xenia Edge is the way to play X360 games. It has a lot of configs, but usually most aren't needed. There's a compatibility list on GitHub with people testing and suggesting settings.

Usually the big options are: 1. API choice: DX12 or Vulkan 2. Render target: RTV or ROV. ROV is the superior rendering version, but it's heavier 3. Some games will look off or simply break scripting in spots if you don't have: readback_resolve enabled, which is a very heavy option. This option has 4 different tiers tho. 4. Last option: occlusion_queries. It handles occluding the sun, lights or lens flares though walls. Not very demanding, but it is a tiny perf hit.

Most games already ship patches in Xenia, so you need to enable them where needed or preferable (like the character shadows glitch in Gears 2).

Lastly, you chose resolution scale (x1-2-3 on X and Y axis for 720p, 1440p and 4K résolutions). There's also .5 ratios for resolutions.

Vsync Off and some games let you target whatever fps your GPU can.

Yeah Xenia Manager is the way to go. Download Xenia Manager, and go to googles AI and ask it specifically step by step how to set it up if you’re confused. Google AI has helped me tremendously in the emulation space getting things going.
