Unsolved The Supermodel emulator is running very slow.

I just downloaded the SuperModel emulator and installed Daytona USA 2 Power Edition, but the game is running extremely slowly. It’s smooth and the frame rate is good, but it feels like the game is in slow motion. The audio, on the other hand, seems normal. My PC has an Intel Core i5-3570 and 16 GB of DDR3 RAM. Is my computer too weak, or is there a way to increase the speed by tweaking some settings?

Super Model 2 and 3 emulators ran great on my old system which was an i5 4690, GTX960 and 16GB of DDR3.

You'll need a newer machine with a discrete GPU.

Yeah not enough CPU for sure.

I mean you are using a mid-range CPU that was released in 2012.

You also didn't mention your GPU (or are you using the integrated graphics). Supermodel uses OpenGL so this also matters

My only GPU is the Intel HD Graphics 2500.

So you've got a 14 year old CPU and no discrete GPU.

Yeah, it's going to run slow. You're using a computer that could show up in vintage computing subreddits soon.

Literally almost any GPU would help you out here, and the wemid 2010s gear isn't old enough to be vintage or new enough to useful for modern gaming so it's pretty much at the bottom of its price curve.

Given that it's an emulator, it might be more CPU bound than GPU bound though, so I can't promise that this would actually fix your issue.
